Meade Lexus of Southfield UNPROFESSIONAL, LYING, SCAMMERS Southfield Michigan

On 7/27/14 around noon I was searching for a Lexus GX 460 on AutoTrader and found a local 2011 Lexus GX 460 in the color and price that I wanted at Meade Lexus of Southfield. The price was listed at $34,995. In ad the Seller / Comments was the following warranty, "Lexus Certified Pre-Owned means you not only get the reassurance of a 3yr/100,000 mile limited warranty, but also a 161-point inspection/reconditioning..."I called the number listed 1-877-708-8138 and spoke with Joey Fortuna who told me the vehicle was available. I drove to Meade Lexus of Southfield to purchase this vehicle. Upon arriving, I was informed by Joey Fortuna that not only does this EXACT vehicle NOT have ANY warranty and is not per-certified as advertized on Autotrader, but Mr. Fortuna also told me that they were increasing the price by $4,000. Mr. Fortuna advised me that however, he would be willing to "HONOR" the ad price of $34,995 but refused to offer a warranty or any substantial discount on any warranty. I was slightly annoyed and felt rather "scammed" by these actions. Mr. Fortuna responded less than professionally and became very defensive. Eventually we spoke with the sales manager, Kate Houlihan. Kate Houlihan offered us the exact same warranty that the vehicle was supposed to be sold with for an additional $4,000. However, she generously offered a $400 and finally a $500 discount off that warranty... after affirming that we had a "printout" of the ad showing the price of $34,995 and the sellers descriptions stating the vehicle was pre-certified with a warranty. In fact, the first thing Joey Fortuna asked was if we had a "printout." Joey Fortuna asked this as he was staring at the exact ad, price and warranty on AutoTrader. Conversations with Kate Houlihan fell into the usual sales pitch of "this vehicle is priced below Kelly Blue Book," etc., etc., etc.. I pulled up AutoTrader app on my smart phone and showed Kate better deals.
