What a horrible experience we had . We purchased the Enjoy The CIty magazine so we could enjoy some great values at Boca Raton restaurants near our home. We tried to use our Meatball Room coupon which says verbatim "Enjoy a free menu item of your choice with the purchase of a menu item of equal or greater value". We placed an order for a chicken parmegan and an eggplant parm. When I arrived to pick up the order I was told that the coupon was for dine-in only. It doesn't say this anywhere on the coupon. I even went to my car and grabbed the coupon magazine showing the manager how other restaurants specified either dine in only or pick up-delivery only. Therefore, I made the safe assumption that there were no restrictions. The manager told me to leave, dont come back and get the f*** out...so I did. This was a very deceptive ad, misleading and fraudulent. The manager blamed this on a "typo" by the advertising company so I called Dana Roman at the coupon-magazine management office. I told her about my experience and how displeased I am. She even said that she specifically told this vendor to be clear about whether the ad was for dine in or take out prior to printing. Regardless, I was duped. I walked out of the place irate and told them to keep the food. This isn't the way to own, operate or manage a local business. I live here in Woodfield and will tell all of my friends JUST LIKE THE MANAGER TOLD ME TO DO as he followed me out the door and watched me get into my car. DONT TRUST THIS RESTAURANT OR ITS MANAGER!! SCAM ALERT!! I will be filing a complaint with Pam Bondi and the Florida District court for deceptive marketing tactics.
