Meathead Movers AKA Princess Packers Poor service, poor performance, fraudulent claims Camarillo California

I hired Meathead Movers and Princess Packers to help with my recent move. I will break this up into two sections, one regarding the pack and another regarding the move.

Princess Packers

I hired Princess Packers Camarillo, California location to help me pack for a move from Los Angeles to Pasadena. I hired them for three hours. In that three hours, they packed my kitchen and part of my living room, claiming on their form that they packed "most of the apartment." In fact, they spent a good chunk of that time bubble wrapping plexiglass frames that did not require it. Bubble wrap, by the way, is the most expensive material used in packing. Total bill: $700, approximately twice what their estimator ("unofficially," of course) told me that it would be. Come the day of the move, several boxes packed by Princess Packers were left behind by the movers because they were left open. 

Meathead Movers

Meathead Movers showed up an hour late and took 13 hours to move all of my stuff from point A to point B. As mentioned above, I was moving from Pasadena to Los Angeles. This generally takes half an hour to drive from, yet it somehow took them over an hour to do so, a fact that they blamed on "the rain." Upon arriving at my new house, they hit and cracked a retaining wall on the property. They then took until midnight to unpack all of my items. At approximately 8 o'clock, a manager called me to tell me that it would be about another hour, and told me that to take advantage of their money back guarantee, I would have to pay in full. I did so only with the expectation that there would be some kind of refund -- That's what a "100 percent money back guarantee" ensures. 

Instead, I got a call from someone in their customer service department telling me that their 100 percent money back guarantee was anything but and in fact refers only to things like movers standing around talking on their cell phone (!) the entire time. I attempted to negotiate a partial refund, however I am now looking into chargeback and small claims court options. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB, as well as the state attorney general.
