Well, first things first...

We had to get MediaCom for our cable and internet because our apartment complex told us it was all that available for us while living there. Fine, whatever. So we signed up for MediaCom services and that is where the problem starts and never ends.

From day one, we continuously got choppy and/or horrible internet and cable. I cannot even count how many times or days our internet would not work, and by not work I mean AT ALL. The cable was the same, always in and out and incredibly choppy. We called several times to have someone look at it and no one ever came. A couple times the people we talked to from MediaCom said they had no record of us even calling to complain about it, which we definetly did!

After a year, we bought a home about 2 miles down the street from where we lived in our apartment. We called MediaCom to set up service at our new home because we have a 2-year contract. A very rude woman "explained to us" that they won't cover that area so that we need to cancel. No options at all, just basically told us what we have to do and that we must pay a cancellation fee of $150, even though we weren't trying to cancel service.

We asked her, since both my husband and I are military, if we PCS'd would we have to cancel and pay a fee and she said "ummm ya, everyone has too." This girl sounded very young and immature and acted as such. We asked to be transfered to a manager or someone else and were disconnected. We called back later to have the issue resolved and tried attempt number 2 of trying to talk to a manager and was promptly told they were all busy and one would call us back within 1-2 hours.

Four(plus) days later, still nothing. I tried calling to get information and to try attempt 3! of talking to a manager and the lady strung me along the whole way ( i am pretty sure she was the same girl from before) and told me once again there was no records of us ever calling and when I asked for a manager to speak to I was told, " you're not on the list so I'm not transferring you."

My husiband and I have tried very hard to be polite witht hese people and to no avail. We still have not heard from a manager and are still paying for a service we don't and according to them can't use.

I deal with and meet a lot of new people ( especially being military) who move off bsae and look for services and I do not think I would ever recommend this company.

You should not have to deal with as many issues as you have experienced with our company.  You should not have been treated rudely by any customer service representative or refused your request to speak to a supervisor.  I would welcome the opportunity to assist you.

Unfortunately there is an early termination fee if you move to an area that we do not service, however if you are military and moving on PCS orders, we will waive the early termination fee.
