I am amazed at the things written on this site about Mega Life and Health Insurance Company. First thing I noticed were the quote so called Customers that had Horrible experiences with Mega but yet are very happy with their PAST health care provider?? I also noticed that the quote so called customer that had the most derogatory things to say knew A lot of insurance jargon that is not typical of anyone that does not have an insurance license?? I also notice the so called customer and EX agents that had the worst things to say about this company used the most vulgar language and expressed the strongest degree of unprofessionalism of any list on this site! From all of the good things I have read and bad things most of all what I have seen are Independent agents that are abusing Free speech in a bad way to eliminate competition for sales. I am a DSL with this company and have been selling their products for half a decade now. It amazes me at the feedback left on this site from new agents that could not make the cut that agree with negative feedback regarding the companies coverage because they now sell a cheaper product making statements like I hope my Mega Customers stay on the books long enough to pay back the advances?

If any felt like the product was bad, why would they wish A BAD product on any client if they had any ethics at all? Bottom line is this is GREAT company with Great ethics and professionalism. Sure, the product portfolio with this companies offering to their customers continues to improve as they continue to grow and become more competitive in the marketplace. However, even the old products had their place. With that being said, ALL derogatory info that I have read on this site is basically outdated and FALSE. All the EX-Agent comments are about products that are not even offered anymore, and when those products were offered if the agent presented the product the right way they worked great for the client even way back when. This company has been in business about 25 years and are licensed in 49 states.

Multiply 25+ years by 49 states and the complaint ratio is very slim. I have Mega Health insurance myself and have sold it to my own family! How's that for believing in what you do, what you offer to a client, and an honest way to make a living by achieving the companies mission state of Helping Other People Every Day! (HOPE). If you want more detail on the CURRENT PLANS visit the companies information website healthinsurancesavings . c o m
The company does a thorough back ground check on any new recruit that it brings on board and tries it best to ensure that it contracts honest people. Sure there is a higher turn over in any sales organization in America more so than in Retail or Corporate because some people simply are not self disciplined enough to make themselves work, and sometimes they are too afraid to ask for more training when they need it, and sometimes, the trainer should recognize when a Rookie needs additional help and make sure they get it. No one is perfect, but we can all strive to do better. This is a Great Company to work for, and it has a superior product in my opinion to any thing else in the market place. I am sure most independents agents that might respond to this would not agree because we (Mega) are competition for them. No I won't name any names because I think that is CHEAP. But I can tell you there is a reason Mega does not let brokers offer it's products. There is no need to. Mega agents have EVERYTHING in it's portfolio to help each and every client we get in front of.

Due to underwriting someone who may not medically qualify for the best priced products are always advised where they can get help, and in most cases the Mega agent can even help with that! If you are a customer reading this and thinking about going with Mega vs. the competition I can tell you this.....Ask both companies to show you in writing what they offer including the SCHEDULES of payments for future claims, and the limitations on how both pay. Go with WHAT IS IN WRITING with whom ever you choose! If you are a Rookie or potential agent selling this companies product or considering to do so, I can tell you take all the negative stuff on this site and ask your field leaders that they can show you in writing to contradict the negative. Heck contact your local Department of Insurance and you will find out for yourself this company is an honest and licensed company with strong ethics and a superior product. Don't take my word for it, call the folks that actually know, ANY DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE IN ANY STATE!

Compare the # of complaints to any of the competition and see for yourself. Anyone that is considering working for this company and has what it takes to actually enjoy working with people and being successful in doing so, this is the best opportunity in the world. You simple will not find anything better anywhere, if you enjoy working with and helping other people. Anyone looking to get into this just for the money, I would advise you look elsewhere as you WILL not be successful if that is the only reason you would consider working for this great company. Don't get me wrong, the rewards are great for those that stay with the company, and the pay is great in the beginning as well for anyone who has what it takes to be dedicated to ensure for yourself that you understand the product, understand the concept, and whose ethics are in line with the 10 commandments. I'm not nearly as religious as I should be, but I can say this to anyone that has negative comments about this great company.

Let ye who is not guilty of sin cast the first stone...................That is intended primarily to Ex-Agents and brokers that have left and will leave Mega and now selling for the competition and posting bad stuff on here just to get a sale...SHAME, SHAME, SHAME. This company sells on value, not price. All Companies reps should sell by consulting to find out the clients needs for coverage based on their budget, not by offering the cheapest crap in the closet.

Your Company sale "Value?" Hmmmm

AUTHOR: Matt - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, August 30, 2008

Value you say is what your company sales on...well let's see. I believe you provide a Prevenative Benefit to your customers. $1000 BENEFIT for $72.00 a monthe premium. I found a company paying me $75.00 for 10 Dr. Visits, plus $1000 in testing, plus $500 a day in hospital., PLUS $200 additional Dollars toward ambulance service...for $31.00 PREMIUM.....You need to look up the word Value..not Rip-Off!!!!

Competitors

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, July 01, 2007

When you're on the NAIC if you want to research the Mega Life complaint ratios with their competitors then compare Time Insurance, Golden Rule, Celtic, Humana, World, Aetna, and Unicare. They are main players in the individual market. Mega Life has by far the highest national complaint ratio out of all of them. It doesn't matter who I sell for, who I don't sell for or if Mega's numbers are going down. I'm just making a statement that they have the highest complaint ratio in the country as compared to their competitors and that is a true statement. I personally enjoy working for the best companies, not the worst. But to each his own.

Now if you really want to bring something to your clients then print out the complaint ratio of Mega and their competitors when you sit down with your clients. Oh....probably don't want to do that huh?

DEROGATORY INFO NOT TRUE

AUTHOR: Denver - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, June 30, 2007

Dear John, and whoever else reads what John posted: THIS IS GREAT NEW!!!! YEAH

Two things: First of all that you very much for that valuable information with the regards to the NAIC website. I found the information very useful AND positive, so much that I might start using it in my sales presentations with potential clients. I think the information published on the NAIC website stating the facts that Mega only had 207 complaints in the 49 states they write business last year is GREAT! Wow, that few complaints in 49 states, amazing. Also, to now know for a fact that there complaint percentage ratio is droping yearly due to the increased product portfolio offerings and higher compliance standards is absolutely amazing. To physically see that the complaint ration percentages decreased 31% from 2005 to 2006 and then AGAIN DROPED another 52% from 2006 to 2007 is AWESOME. That you so much for this GREAT INFORMATION AND POSITIVE THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THIS COMPANY. I COULD not find ANYWHERE that they had a high ratio of complaints compared to all other companies as you stated or ANY other company on that site http://www.naic.org/cis/trendReport.do , There is the wed addy just in case you need the addy there it is for anyone intereted in verifying what I am stating. Again, thanks for the great info, GREAT STUFF.

Secondly: Who do YOU work for now? A competitor????

Thanks again for GREAT INFO about my company!

But, hey your a positive person John right, your just looking out for the general well being of all parties right. You are not selling for the competition are you? If you what kinda of WONDERFUL are you selling for, I'd love to check it out. Hey, I'm always willing to personally look at something better if you know of something. Can't wait to see what you have man.

Sincerely and continously passionate about doing the right thing at all times by all people,

Actually the National Association of Insurance Commissions (NAIC) has compiled all the complaint numbers nationally. Go to their site - just Google their name. Mega has the highest complaint ratio of any health insurance company in the country. If you disagree, then file your complaint with the NAIC.
