Mel Feller Scam-BEWARE-THEY EXPECT YOU TO HONOR THE CONTRACT BUT THEY DO NOT FULFILL THE CONTRACT St. George, Utah

I wanted to start my own business selling used clothing in all sizes, crafts on consignment, baby gear, toys, books, yarn knitting and crocheting supplies as well as hold weekly knitting classes.

Since I was unemployed at the time I began searching for Grant Opportunities. After visiting a website I received a call from Synergy Pro Consulting.

The first woman that I spoke to I believe her name was Melissa asked me about the business that I wanted to start and said that she would like to make an appointment for me to speak with Joe Goodman he would interview me and my partner. She told me that I would be gauranteed a grant through this program.

My business partner, Ashley & her husband Joseph, my husband Michael and myself were all present for this phone call. The call was on speaker phone. I am glad that 3 other individuals besides myself heard the phone conversation.

It ended up that this caused a split between myself & Ashley and she opted to not continue with our business plans.

I did everything that was asked of me. We visited websites were I had to fill out forms...forms after forms, I wrote letters to  area businesses, local representatives etc. We started in Sept. and I was told that most grants had closed so we were waiting until January and would begin submitting grant applications.

It was April and we had not submitted any grant applications. I wrote a letter to the Economic Development Director in my town and told her about my store plans, and that I was in a program that was going to help me find available grants and asked her if she had any suggestions for me. She wrote back and did not have any positive feedback about the grants available to start up businesses. I conveyed this to my coach and told him I was beginning to get worried as according to my towns Economic Development Director there was no available grants for start up businesses and since it was April when would be be submitting grant applications. From that point on all of my emails went unanswered.

There was no more phone calls nothing. Now I had agreed with my coach that until I began getting some feedback back from the letters I had sent out that the phone calls were not necessary...we agreed that if I had a question I would send and email and he would either call me or answer by email.

I completed the information for the business plan and when I received my finished business plan it was dreadful very unprofessional. Ninety-five percent of the business plan was word for word it was like it was just cut and pasted. It also was repetative. I re-wrote the business plan and sent it back to have it redone.

The contract that I signed stated that they would teach me how to write a grant proposal...they didn't.
Because they did not hold up thier end of the contract I stopped paying them. I am out the $1000.00 downpayment plus the monthly payment of over $200 which I paid for 7 months. They will not rip me off for more.

I have read all of the other complaints and agree with everything that they say. This company is a complete fraud.

I have opened my business without their help and it is going well.
