THIS VERY PRETTY HOTEL, ME CANCUN, IS UNDER THE MELIA HOTEL BRANDS.
i WAS OFFERED TO REVIEW A TIME SHARE FOR A FREE 3 NIGHT STAY.
THIS TOOK 4 HOURS.
I WAS INTERESTED AND SIGNED UP AFTER BEING PRESSURED THAT I MUST BUY WITHIN ONE HOUR TO GET THE DEAL.
I LATER FOUND OUT MANY RESTRICTIONS AND CANCELLED WITHIN 3 DAYS.
THEY WANT ME TO PAY A $400 FE FOR CANCELLING.
RIDICULOUS.

Timeshare Scams in Mexico

Timeshare scams are very common in Mexico. I understand you have 5 calender days to cancel the contract, I know because I made the mistake to buy a royal elite timeshare membership during my vacations in Playa del Carmen, fortunately enough, I could cancel the contract and get my refund back, but I had to do it through PROFECO (Mexico's consumer protection agency) because the salesmen at the resort were not helpful at all
