We hired Melissa to do our make up for a special event. At the beginning it was all great until she decided to go and tell my mom that she needs BOTOX shoots because she looks old. How dare can she said that to my mother? We hired her for a specific job- to do the make up the way we requested and that is it. Why did she have to go and tell my mom she looks old when my mom is fitting breast cancer right now?! What happen to people having heart?!

The emotional distress that this woman has done to us is enormous. After confronting her about what she has done, Melissa didn't see anything wrong with that and charged us more then agreed because according to her she had to use more material on my mom to cover her aging. She continued on the BOTOX suggestions and was so heartless and shamless. DO NOT USE MELISSA BLAYTON, KANSAS CITY PEOPLE- SHE HAS NO HEART, CHARGES YOU TWICE THE MONEY FOR SERVICE AND LATER ON YOU WILL GET ALL KINDS OF ACNE ON YOUR FACE BECAUSE OF HER "PERFECT MAKE UP APPLICATION"

You been warned stay away from Melissa Blayton in the Kansas City area.

Well, this has been a hard lesson learned for me. I made an error and names Katie Chaney in my dispute above when in fact,she was not responsible for this awful post. My advise to anyone who receives anything like this. READ AND RE READ BEFORE you react. I assumed that because because I mentioned botox to that client that ot had been taken out of context but that was my error. I have Contacted ripoff to have my above rebuttal removed but have not been successful. To Katie, please accept my sincerest apologies for the nonsense. 

I'm regards to the original post. What I have also learned is there are those that will post anything to make you look bad. This above stated story is completely fiction and it is sad that someone would go to this extreme to make me look bad. I hope fins something better to do with your time than to focus on my career. I am not perfect and I have made mistakes....point proven wi th above context, but I own my mistakes and work hard to make things right. To you, I hope you feel better having tried to make me look bad. If that is what it takes for you, then I'm happy for you. 


Katie, again, I am terribly sorry.

I wanted to quickly address the statement that I am accused of saying that I had to charge her more money becuase I had to use more on her moms face......THAT IS NOT TRUE AT ALL. I would never do nor say that. Again, Katoe never contacted me after the trial with her mom until many months later to notify me that she was firing me. I just had to address that sentence. That is just horrible to read becuase I would never do that or say that to anyone. Katie, you should be ashamed of yourself. I am willing to take the negative feedback that you are unhappy, I know in the bridal business that you can't please eveyone. I just don;t think it's fair your being so dishonest. I called you and sent you tet messages apologizing and you would not take my calls. I don;t know what else to do here. Your harsh dishonest words do hurt but I am blessed enough to have many other clients that know who I am and know where my heart lies. As I said above, I don;t take back my advise to your mom. She was concerned and I gave her my feedback. I hope this gave you the peace of mind you needed to be happy Kaite. That's all I ever wanted for you form the beginning.

It is unfortunate that you feel this way. THe turth of the matter is the following:

I met my bride Katie Chaney, many months in advance and as with all of my brides, went above and beyond for her. I intorduced her to her video person and even spent hours texting and answering questions to ensure she had everything she needed. I also went to her home to provide makeup for her trial in Lawrence Ks when I live in Kansas City charging her 50% less than my normal fee. Her mother wanted a trial at which during that tiral she expressed her concerns about her lines aroiund her mouth and eye area. I DID suggest botox as an alterntaive if it was a concern for her but DID NOT tell her to go get botox. My clients look to me for advise and I am always honest. Keep in mind, I did Katie's makeup and hair for her engagment session and she came to me to bring her mom for a tiral many months later so the statement about her face breaking out seems rather far fethched since she did come back. Needless to say I ded receive a email more than 3 months AFTER the tiral with her mom telling me that she thought I was rude and that she wanted to fire me. I was shocked to say the least becuase it is never my intenet to offend anyone. I will always be honest with my clients. And to also be honest, the next person that comes to me that asks the same questions or presents the same conecerns will get the same feedback if that is the best solution. I work really hard to build up self esteems including donating time and money to woman who havebeen battered an makeovers at Childrens Mercy monthly. I know that in this business you can't please everyone, but this is a case of compelte disbelief on my part and it does hurt my feelings that Kaite took this route rather than discuss IMMEDIATLEY her concern rather than wait months. Please feel free to goolge my name and you will see the positive feedback form many other brides and If you read this horrible complaint and are a bride, I am even happy to offer you a free trial to allow you to make your own decision. Katie, to you, I am sorry and I sen tyou an email and called you. You aren't presenting the truth here but I do wish you nohting but the best.
