Mepco finance Corporation Motor Vehicle Svc Protection Sold my 89 yr. old mother a policy. She had an expired license and had another extended warranty St Peters, Missouri

My 89 year old mother was sold an extended warranty over the phone. She did not understand it was just for mechanical breakdowns. She thought anything would be covered for 7 years if her car broke. She told me about it when I told her she needed new brake shoes because she thought the warranty would cover it.

When she bought the policy she had an expired license, she still does not have her license and has never driven the car since buying the policy. She also had another extended warranty that just ended March 3rd. 2012. She started paying for this one in Oct. 2011.

She has already paid 1227 and owes 1668 more. If she ever drives again she goes less than 20 miles a week. She would never use a rental car, lodging, or meals since she never leaves town. She could have her needs met with AAA for 54.00 a year instead of the 2895. she paid.

She also though she could cancel if she had to stop driving and only lose her down payment of 395.00.
Any reputable company would not have sold a policy to someone 89 without a valid driver's license, who already had an extended warranty, and who never drives more than 3 miles from home. They took advantage of her age and her not understanding what she was buying.
