On 8/25/05 I entered in a contract for an extended car warranty. I paid 143.00 down payment and was paying 75.00 a month. This warranty was 1500.00 and I paid it off in it's entirety. This company has not paid anything for car repairs and Ford Motor said my last repair they never saw any warrnty company not pay. As it was this was only the second time that i tried to use warranty. I filled out a refund report on Feb 20th of this year and have not heard from them. I call continuously e-mail and n ever get a respoonse from them. They take your money and do nothing for it. Help

I can help...

Call (888) 244-0925 x2630 and ask for Kenny Hilton-- he'll help you out.

BTW-- what phone number have you been dialing? What email address have you been sending to? The customer service department is different than the sales floor. AND, keep in mind, the plan is not written by Continental Warranty, it's written by an insurance company. That insurance company is responsible for the claim.

When you buy a Sony TV from Bestbuy and it malfunctions, you don't get mad at BB, you get mad at Sony. This is no different. Call Kenny with the name of your plan and I'm sure he'll take care of you.

Assuming Mepco Ins had ALWAYS paid you per your warranty,

how much would you have collected now compared to the $1500 you had paid for that insurance? Include the effects of any deductables.

I know most people do not handle uncertainty at all well, but I must ask some questions....

*Question 1: Is the "feeling of security" you get from having an extended warranty really worth the money you paid for that security [warranty]?

*Question 2: Will you buy an extended warranty for your next car?

*Question 3: Why do you buy cars that "need" an extended warranty? [I know I won't.]

[Actually, does a "deductable" really make sense on an auto warranty? Can you opt to not fix the tranny if it should fail because of the deductable? A deductable should represent an optional charge in my mind: If you want to use the insurance benefit, you pay the deductable.]
