Merchant Warehouse accepted our application for our business and started services after taking a $78 fee from our bank account. We were in full swing starting to serve customers and then almost exactly one week later we get a call from them explaining that they are going to cancel our account.


They said we were an unauthorized business type and that we should have never been approved. The problem is we are in the service industry for food orders over the phone and we waited until we had our processing up and running prior to opening up for business. If we don't have a way to process credit/debit cards we can't do business. When asked to explain the rep simply said "this is not up for discussion we are simply terminating your account." When asked about getting a refund of the money we paid to start the account we were told to talk to customer service. We did and they said they will get back with us but we have yet to hear anything.


This ultimately may crush our small business that we have so much invested in. We are scrambling to find a different merchant provider but it takes time and every day that we are disapointing customers by not being open is just that much more detrimental to the brand. Not to mention that we have yet to recieve the money that we have processed through Merchant Warehouse in our bank account.


Very dissapointed and discouraged at this point. Bigger businesses should be aware that their actions can be detrimental and kill another busisness simply by making such a mistake.
