I received a bill from Merchants' Credit Guide Co. May 29, 2007 saying they had purchased a bill I owed for $242.43 to AT&T Corporation and I had 30 days to respond to this letter.

The letter also offerd a couple of settlement options $121.22 paid in full and $169.70 paid in installments. I haven't done any business with AT&T and I'm not paying a bogus bill.

When I called the above company a lady said they would be willing to settle this bill with me. I told her I didn't owe this bill and would not be paying it and I let her know I was contacting the Attonery Generals office regarding this issue.

The lady told me since I had all the answers why was I call and that me threating to contact the attonery generals office would not alleaviate me from oweing this bill. I said again I didn't owe this bill and I would not be paying it and hung up.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Regarding to AT&T Corporation debts, MCG has once again bought bad debt

AUTHOR: Chuuuch - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, June 09, 2007

Do not pay anything regarding to MCG and the AT&T Corporation debts. They don't even have an origination date, they don't know what type of service it is. This is what you do when they call your residence and are harassing you, since the calls are all recorded through a program called touchstar, asked to be transferred to a Manager, not a Team Leader. Tell the manager that you were harassed and to pull the tape of the Rep. on the phone, tell them to contact the Compliance Dept. for MCG and keep following up on it. They buy junk debt! You don't have to pay it.

Why would you pay something that you don't even remember, or something so old that you have to think about. You know who you didn't pay, or who you have done business with. Stop making the Burtis Family (Owners) and upper management of MCG rich. Another way to really annoy MCG since they call every day with the Ken Hughes B.K.A. Ken Hill Calls. What you do is block the calls and keep calling every day all day if you have time, this will slow up production if you keep doing it, why not harass them since they are harassing you.

Merchants Credit Guide, Bottom Feeders

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 31, 2007

Kym, Do not ever call Merchants Credit Guide, do any and all business VIA regestered mail (receipt requested) In the letter tell them, demand them, to stop contacting you.

Demand in your letter that MCG send you the original bill, from the original creditor.

Never give them your phone number, and especially your social security number, not even the last four digits.

Good Luck!!
