I have serious concerns that we are getting, at the very least mislead to believe that MetroMode is something that it is not and possibly defrauded.

First off, I have yet to see an actual copy of MetroMode anywhere in the Denver area and when I’ve requested distribution points to go pick up a copy, I seem to get the runaround. Frankly we shouldn’t have to ask to see a copy. We should be able to see the actual distribution in the market.

So I started to do some research and literally everything I have found casts an untrustworthy cloud over MetroMode Magazine and William Cameron (aka Bill Cameron).

But don’t take my word for it, do some basic research yourself.

If you Google “Metro Mode Magazine Denver”, within the first 5 search results, you’ll find 4 of them are negative. (ie. Ripoff Report) That speaks volumes considering Google works tirelessly to ensure that the most relevant content appears at the top of each search.  Here’s the link: http://goo.gl/EooRxG

According to their Website and Media Kit they have been in business for 9 years and in almost a decade of online and social media they only have 1 tweet and 8 followers, and 226 likes. Not to mention a website that is literally void of content, has gaping holes, is full of blank pages and broken links.

I even tried to swing by their “office” to pick up a copy and was shocked to find that it was a UPS Store -- suite number 214, which is really mailbox 214. Link: http://goo.gl/fHzzd1

So what exactly are the advertisers paying for?  No visible distribution? An empty website? 238 total social media stats? Negative search results?

There is not one single redeeming search result for MetroMode Magazine or Bill Cameron.

I encourage all potential advertisers to do their own research and make a well informed decision about where you spend your advertising dollars to reach the LGBT community.
