Metro Vanlines Scammers, liars, crooks Patterson New Jersey

Was told amount would be $395.  $85 a hour plus $85 for the truck and a $30 discount.  So four hours, three guys, one truck, a $30 discount, $395.

Guys showed up a hour late and next thing I know it's $75 per flight of stairs over 8 steps.  Tape costs $2.50 each roll.  Wrap costs $20 each.  Blankets $5 each.

I tell them I wasn't told any of this and he says I received an email the day before.  I received the email a hour after the movers arrived and that was because he called his manager.

The bill came to $922 because of 4 flights of steps (I only have three flights), 4 tapes @ $4 each, 3 rolls at $20 each, 18 blankets @ $5, them to travel home for 2 hours, and a $21 toll.

We didn't have cash for that.  We got $600 knowing things would be more but not that much more.  Well then the guys said the $85 was a cash price and that now it went up to $100 per hour.

So $600 for the four hours and two hours travel back to their office, $21 for a toll, $166 in supplies, $300 for stairs to total up to $1087.

The kicker is that I paid $75 to confirm the appointment.  The guy added $75 to the $1087 to get $1162 to minus the $75 to get $1087.

The paperwork stated I would have to pay for travel time and tolls of them going from my one house to the other which I was fine with since I was moving like 12 miles away and there never was any traffic and there are no tolls.  No where until we were charged was there ever any mention of us paying for them to travel back to their home office.  $221 that had nothing to do with us.

They didn't give us the $30 discount.  There was never any talk about cash price or credit card price until payment came due. 

We kept calling to talk to Kimberly who did nothing.  I've asked for copies of the contracts they had me sign, nothing.  Please don't use this company.  It is a scammer.
