Michael Bates Mike Bates or Michael T. Bates Intalled a Pool liner in my inground pool shelbyville, Kentucky

Hi: I hired this "gentleman" to measure and install a new pool liner for our in ground pool. Our liner looked faded, we think its been in the pool for 15 years so it was time to change for something that will show more color.  We paid him cash. BIG MISTAKE. He only accepts cash because he said he had several checks bounce and/or that people change their minds after he orders the liner, which is tailored made for each pool and cant be used in another pool. He has to pay upfront for the liner

after he measures it and send in to have it made. All what he said made sense to me and as long as he did sign receipt I was ok with that. I had his DL license number and a receipt for the first 50%. His  KY license number B01-230-833 He also said he would give me a receipt the last day with a 2 year installation warranty and whatever the liner company offered on the liner, which he didnt leave at my house when hefinished the job and left.  Thats is why before I paid him, I typed quick receipt on the computer the day he came in with the liner to install and had no receipt in hand and paid him the other 50% [$3500 dollars total]. [I have it at home Ill bring it later he said].

I have copies of all receipts he signed. I pad in the last 50% and left for workas he was installing the liner. When I came back he had installed the liner all wrong.  I called him , he came back,emptied a half full pool and said he was going to re adjust it. Next day I went to work and when I came back pool liner was worse than first day! There are wrinkles all around the side walls and the floor o the pool. He did NOT install the correct floor drain, he didnt install the skimmer door, pool jets, etc.  

Now Liner is coming of wall,wrinkles are over 3 inches in some areas. I called him and he said he was done and that I was screwed since I didnt have a contract. Think again Michael  Bates. I have contacted a collection lawyer in Louisville who is filling a lawsuit this week against him. I will file a report with the KY department of revenue since I think this guy is not paying his fair share of taxes with the excuse that he has gotten bounced checks from others. Dont hire this crook.
