This is written as a warning to all those trying to become Dallas Police Officers: watch out for the snake in the grass known as Michael D. Park. Be sure and read www.antipolygraph.org before you have the misfortune of meeting him.

I work hard to establish my character, which is why I take it very personally when someone attacks mine.

On his website Mr. Park boats of his professionalism, his credentials, and his comforting procedure. I found nothing of the sort when I had to take a polygraph with him. He was arrogant, insulting, and attacked my credentials the entire time I was there.

I was already nervous (having to take a test with no scientific bearing that can determine your future will do that) and his manner didn't help at all. I mentioned how I had hurt my foot, an injury that kept me from being commissioned in the Marine Corps. He snidley remarked "well what makes you think you belong here?"

After the test Park accused me of lying and demanded to know what I was hiding. When I told him nothing he went and pulled my juvenille record (which is completely clean). After waiting about thirty-forty minutes he reappeared and had apparantly forgotten I was there. A rather transparant tactic to try and make me "confess" to a nonexistent crime or just poor customer service? You be the judge.

To end with he accused me of trying to get him to lie for me on the test, and I told him "I'm not asking you too."

My belief: You can tell from someone's behavior whether they like you or not in the first several seconds of meeting them. Mr. Park did not like me, and a polygrapher's personal bias can make or break you on the test.

Mr. Park didn't like me, and when I didn't fail enough to his satisfaction he badgered me trying to make confess to something else. His attitude problem cost me a job with the Dallas Police Department, but if I can educate a few people on how this worthless hack and his mind games operate I'll be happy.

Warning to all:

The website ,AntiPolygraph.org is a US government sponsored, honey pot, sting website. The website has its server located in Canada, and the spokesperson, is located in The Hague, Netherlands. This offshore combination of links allows for full implementation of the US Patriot Act for monitoring of US persons. The reason for its existence is to target and identify any persons who would try and beat security screening for either the US Intelligence Agencies, or Law enforcement on any level. The reason the server and spokesperson are located offshore is to circumvent/skirt US Laws that limit collecting information or spying on US persons, (domestic spying), without a court order. This Website is run by US Department of Defense, with its controlling agency, the Defense Academy of Credibility Assessment (DACA), (formerly Department of Defense Polygraph Institute - DODPI). Its other main purpose is to control and implement detectable countermeasure procedures. The website has free downloads of a manual, titled “The Lie Behind the Lie Detector”. The purpose of the free manual is to front-load / pre-load detectable attempts at polygraph countermeasures, which are easily identifiable by the polygraph examiners who are trained to spot them, and circumvent other countermeasure training offered by other organizations for a price, taking advantage of the fact that most would-be individuals will not pay for countermeasure information. The Antipolygraph.org websites overall goal is to continue viability of the polygraph for the foreseeable future, as other detection of deception systems, are unreliable or the technology is not provable. This website concept was conceived as part of an effort to limit expansion of polygraph countermeasures after the use of polygraphs in the public sector was severely limited by the Polygraph Protection Act. This counter-countermeasure training is offered by the DODPI, and it is believed that the websites existence is part of the classified countermeasures course at DACA (formerly DODPI), and its been suggested that the website concept was an original idea by a Dr. Gordon Barland, who lead the DODPI for countermeasures and their detection, and retired in 2000, the year the website showed up.

Supporting evidence:

- Antiploygraph.org, has complied with multiple US subpoenas on individuals that posted on the website. Like US agents, they can not break US law, because they are a US entity. A true “Anti” government website would not have complied.

- Website logs IP addresses, and website has shown a propensity to ID individuals from the addresses.

- Website keeps coming up with one of kind information that could only have come from US internal agencies.

- Mr. Maschke, from his own essay, “Too Hot A Potato”, says that he lost his military career because of his anti-polygraph activities. But in fact Mr. Maschke is a retired US Army Reservist.

- The operational cost of the website far exceeds the financial capabilities of a few single individuals. If you consider the links, administration, video productions, and the change in background stages (2007 and 2010), supposedly Mr. Maschke’s home living room, now and his home office. The costs could only be supported by an organization with deep pockets.

- Diverse contacts point with all types of Messenger Links (Skype, Yahoo, and MS IM). Allowing anyone and everyone a link into the website.

- Complete takeover of polygraph searches on all internet search engines. Overlaying and making other countermeasure sites practically invisible. Thereby guaranteeing that countermeasure research is controlled by this website.

In 1981, I came to Dallas, Texas and I applied for a private security patrol job with a two-bit company called Globe Security --can't remember the exact name.

I passed everything Ok and then I was REQUIRED to take a pre-employment polygraph.

Ok, no problem. Turns out the polygraph administrator was a Hispanic guy with a Machismo complex who did not think women should be doing private security work and driving a patrol vehicle and wearing a pistol. He thought all women should be at home making babies and tortillas and that is what he told me to my face.

He then tried to get me to confess to all sorts of things I had never done and did everything he could to scare me, verbally abuse me and try to get me to register deceptive answers on his stupid machine. I could see where this was going because he was getting his rocks off  with a visible erection in his pants during the abuse. I could see where this was going to go so I refused all further questions. He cursed at me because I had "spoiled the fun" and then he called me a bull d**e and told me that women who did not want to stay at home were whores and would end up dead and in hell. I was shocked.

I told my white roommate about what had happened and we had a plan and got a good civil rights attorney.  We had people with hidden tape recorders and guess who was applying for work at Globe Security --- women of every age and ethnic group, males of every age and ethnic group and everyone took the polygraph and only the white  boys from 18- 25 passed it.  In the deposition that followed, the Hispanic polygraph operator swore that the head  of Globe Security told him to fail everyone who was not a white boy ages-25.

I did not keep up with the class action lawsuit that followed but it got polygraphs barred from being admissible evidence in any civilian court and prevented pre-employment polygraphs from being used in most jobs. Unfortunately for you and for me, police employment is a non -exempt job.

A polygraph is nothing but a legalized tool of discrimination.

I was discriminated against in 1982 and again in 1984 when I applied to be a Dallas police officer myself but that is when they decided they needed to hire more African American cops and if I had been a Spanish speaking Black female, I would have been hired on the spot and exempt from physical stamina tests and all the rest of the things they put in your way to being hired.So while I was down there sweating in the dirt doing push-ups, the Black applicants were not being required to do any of it which was reverse discrimination. They were watching me in the dirt and laughing at me and calling me b***h, m-----F----- and w***e and white trash and goldberg and a couple tried to spit on me when their guide was not looking...I wonder what would have happened if I had called them a racial slur...

Maybe Mr. Park jammed up the polygraph results because they already had their quota of persons of your race and gender. That was the case with me.

Later on, I had a chance at a CSI job with the City of Fort Worth and it was down between me and another applicant. And out comes the polygraph. I figured it was because they needed a racial quota number of a certain color. Sure enough, I could hear the guy fooling around with the polygraph behind my back and I knew then, I was not getting that job. They had to hire a woman but this one was a much younger Black woman. Quota time again and more reverse racism.

I eventually met her in a fingerprint identification at DPS Academy years later but wished her no ill will. She was recruited specifically because she was a token and knew it but she was very nice to me. I didn't tell her that I was the person she had beat out of the job.  I thought about going to work for the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department but they require a pre-employment polygraph too.

Once you have had a bad experience on one polygraph, you will more than likely not be able to provide a good test on another one. I hate the damned things and the shifty amoral bastards who run them.

You know who else can pass one of these things -- a stone cold psychopath because they believe their own lies and do not register any emotion at all -- the flat, nonresponsive effect.

I hope you found another job with another agency.

Polygraphs only measure how good a liar someone is and it hurts to know they are still being used as legal discrimination no matter how hard we fought and that our class action lawsuit didn't end this boondoggle that cheats so many good people out of work due to illegal quotas, etc.
