My car broke down in march. I had it towed to Michaels euro motors. He held my car for 4 days and really made no effort to contact me on the problem or progress of the car. When I called he told me he was having trouble hooking up his code reader to my car so he wasn't sure on the problem. I voiced my opinion about it possibly being the fuel pump. He then contacted me saying he fixed the electrical problem and was able to connect the code reader and that it was the fuel pump. He explained that it would cost me $400 in labor because of the work they would have to put in it. He then said the new part would cost me $300. After him having it for 4 days I went to pick up my car and it was running but there was a rattling noise coming from my trunk. A month later my car broke down again so I had a friend take a look at it. He told me the car wasn't getting gas and that it was the fuel pump. He then checked my trunk and found a hole cut out. When he unscrewed all the screws he found the fuel pump and noticed a hose disconnected. He reconnected the hose and explained that the person who worked on my car must have done the same thing just not correctly because it came lose again. I contacted the mechanic and he said he fired the mechanic that worked on my car so he wasn't sure what happened. I asked him to look at it for me to verify the part wasn't new and he refused. Seeing as the part is covered in rust it is very evident it was never replaced. I've asked him for my money back because the part was never replaced and now I have a huge hole in my trunk. He has refused to pay me back and has offered me a $300 credit to his shop. I obviously did not agree to this because the $300 part I paid for is not in my car and the $400 I paid for labor was so he could drop my tank not cut a hole in my trunk. I would like my $700 back and if possible I would like the money to have my trunk replaced because I see this as a hazard. Another thing I would like to point out is that he claims to have fixed some electrical issue in my car yet I'm still unable to connect a code reader to the car. Within a few days of getting my car off the lot I also had a leak in my power steering hose which I had to replace. I've made an effort to deal with this problem with the mechanic and he is unwilling to work with me. - See more
