Michelle McCord sells all kinds of merchandise on eBay, including camping equipment, aquarium equipment, d***o's and Anal toys, had I known this I would have never done business with her. I bought a 200 dollar aquarium filter from her and paid her immediately, Shipping, handling and Insurance included in the 199.99 price. Seller did not require a signature for delivery she claimed to me in a phone call that she never does on any of her shipments. DHL made an error in leaving the package on my doorstep at my apartment and package was stolen. When I contacted Michelle I asked her to call DHL so the claim process could begin. MIchelle never contacted DHL to inquire about the package or to start a claim. I left negative feedback on her ebay account stating "seller does not require signature for packages, it was stolen off my doorstep". I filed a dispute with paypal and she escalated it to a claim, then sent me the following email.

SORRY,
I GOT BUSY AND FORGOT ABOUT IT BUT I SEE YOU ALRESDY MOVED IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL. HAVE A GREAT NIGHT & GOOD LUCK!

I just spoke to DHL and they said you never called them after I reported that I did not receive the package. I can see that you have no concern for resolving this matter at all.

Negative feedback will be left on eBay.

Thanks for your lack of concern and courtesy,
Scott

She later left feedback for me on ebay stating that I was a scammer!!!beware!!!

another email from michelle

YOU ALREADY MADE A CLAIM THROUGH PAYPAL, SO WHY WOULD I SEND YOU THE REFUND? PAYPAL WILL, THEY ALREADY PUT A HOLD ON THE FUNDS IN MY ACCOUNT. FOR THE RECORD, I DID EVERYTHING I WAS SUPPOSED TO. IT IS LUDICROUS WHEN PEOPLE PLACE BLAME ON OTHERS WHEN THEY ARE NOT THE ONE AT FAULT. IF PAYPAL RETURNS THE CAPTURED FUNDS FROM MY ACCOUNT I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO FORWARD THAT TO YOU. HOWEVER, THAT IS USUALLY A TIMELY MATTER. DHL IS ALSO A TIMELY MATTER, SO I DO NOT THINK IT CAN OR WILL BE RESOLVED THIS WEEK.

First off, can you please lay off the CAPS its annoying and rude, press the little button above the shift key on the left side of your keyboard and it will resolve the issue. Also turn on your spell checker, sending people emails with misspelled words like ALRESDY shows a lack of professionalism. Now to what really matters, if you would take the time to call DHL they will tell you that they made a mistake in delivering the package even though you did not require a signature, they did. I have already gone ahead and filed the claim with DHL for you and the claim will be paid out to you and you can refund me my money or ship me another FX5 Or You can send me a notarized letter with your name address and the tracking number stating that the claim can be paid out to me and we can resolve this issue this week.

You need to call DHL to resolve this issue, as of today at 6pm they have no record of your call concerning this matter.

Thanks for your lack of concern and courtesy,
Scott

Well it turns out she did not pay for the shipping insurance (scammer?) as promised no wonder she was uncooperative in filing a claim she would only have been reimbursed for 100 dollars.

Email from DHL

I have been told by customer service that this package was not insured for the full value of 199.99. And that DHL will only payout 100.00 of 199.99 value. Is this true? If this is the case then I will not be filing a claim with DHL, instead I will go through EBay and PayPal to fully recover my loss. But I need a response to this email to provide to PayPal showing that the shipper did not provide proper Insurance to cover the entire value of this package which was 199.99

Dear Scott Palmer,

Thank you for contacting DHL.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. I have initiated the claims process, a claim form be mailed to the address provided within one business day. Please complete the claim form and return to the address listed on the back of the form. Please refer to reference (SCT) number 01070000495 for future inquiries.

Please Note:

A claim for loss or damage to a shipment cannot be concluded until all transportation charges thereon have been paid. The amount of a claim cannot be deducted from transportation charges.

All damaged merchandise and packaging must be retained in the original shipping container at the receiver's location in order that DHL may make inspection thereof.

Unfortunately, DHL shall not be liable in any event for any special, incidental, or consequential damages, including, but not limited to loss of profits or income, whether or not DHL had knowledge that such damages might be incurred. Liability not assumed.

If a shipper has an extremely time-sensitive package, the loss or delay of which may result in consequential damaged, the shipper must contact his/her own insurance agent or broker to insure again such risks, as DHL does not assume such liabilities. DHL does not provide and will not arrange for such insurance.

Once the claim form is received an actual claim number will be assigned and reviewed. Resolution may take up to 30 business days from the date our claims department receives the completed claim form.

If I can be of further assistance, please advise.

Its good to see more people that have been scammed by you and your bullshit sales on ebay,I always knew you were stupid, but to find out you still dont insure your packages and require a signature for all deliveries is mind boggling, Michelle you must have a IQ equivalant to the d***o/butt plugs that you sell. I look forward to recieving email updates from this site, it will take some time but your reputation will catch up to you.

Signature confirmation waved

AUTHOR: Michelle mccord - (U.S.A.)

It was delivered via Fedex. Customer waived signature confirmation, just not on my purchase, but on every shipment going to that address. Fedex contacted me to let me know that.

#4 Consumer Comment

I've had nearly an identical problem with this same company/person Michelle

AUTHOR: Pos_miniracer - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 03, 2009

My situation really doesn't qualify as a rip off so much as it does a complete and total lack of customer service after the sale. I, like at least one other person before me purchased an item from Michelle via her web site which boasts the following taken directly from her site.

"POND PASSIONS OUTLET's customer service goal is simple: We are committed to providing our customers total satisfaction. Every time. Guaranteed. Contact us at MICHELLEMCCORD@AOL.COM or call (810) 348-9077 anytime."
"It's all part of our "Loyalty To Our Customers" attitude. Please contact us @ 810.348.9077 anytime with any questions."

I can tell you from personal experience that I've rarely spoken to anyone willing to do less for their customers. I purchased an item at a very reasonable price with free shipping and paid via credit card. The item shipped out almost immediately and I received two automated e-mails regarding the status of the shipping and everything seemed great. Unfortunately the package either never arrived or vanished after delivery (FedEx claims to have delivered it "signature on file" to my store).

Do I believe she shipped the item? YES!
Do I believe the original problem lies with FedEx? YES!

Should I be writing a great review and recommendation for Michelle and her company?

Well I would be if she had bothered to make a claim with FedEx or put in even the slightest effort to find out what happened to the package after she was informed it never arrived or even if she would put in the effort to return a phone call in a prompt fashion but instead what she seems to have done is just string me along for a week until I finally make a claim with FedEx myself only to find out I'm the very first person to bring it to their attention after she claims she had a week ago. She also claims that every time she tried to return my call she was left on hold by the store and gave up which is odd since she was given only my cell number on my order form and I've only ever called her from my cell which shows up on her caller I.D. so why she would suddenly claim to have only the store number and be the only person in two years not to get through to me via that number is beyond belief. I'm NOT calling her a thief but would go so far as to call her full of crap.
Then I discover this is not the first time she's been in a very similar situation and she did as much for me as she did the last person to complain here which is nothing because even after she's been down this road at least once before she didn't learn to either require a signature upon delivery or insure the package she shipped. Of course she doesn't bother to make a claim because even if she did she would only be reimbursed the uninsured maximum of $100.00 which is less than the item. Except that in this case the blame lies with FedEx for not getting a signature so if she would have just lifted a finger to investigate the matter or make a claim she would find out that she might just get lucky on this one and get reimbursed but instead she did nothing all the while claiming to do something. Now she'll claim I never paid for insurance but that's only because I was never given the option or I certainly would have had sense enough to do what she doesn't have sense enough to do.
She now has chosen to call me a ballbuster and refuse to either ship me a new product (signature required and insured) or refund my money and has left me holding the bag for her complete lack of effort.

So if you're home 24 hours a day to meet the FedEx truck when it arrives then by all means order from her but don't expect any help from her at all if and when things go wrong. Her satisfaction guarantee is a total joke. As for me, I plan to dispute the charges to my card and do my shopping somewhere where they actually understand what customer service really means.

1.65 For Insurance.

AUTHOR: Scott - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, February 23, 2008

Had Michelle, paid DHL the 1.65 cent insurance the package would have been covered for full value, She proclaimed 3-4 times in her EBay Auction Listing, Item Won EBay Email notifications and PayPal email/invoices that shipping + Insurance was included. She did not do this. DHL said she did not purchase coverage. DHL Notified me of the delivery date as 1-2-08 when I was sure to be at home, they delivered at 3:40 PM New Years Eve while I was at work. She didn't fulfill her Terms of the sale, she should have realized it was her fault and offered a refund. To recover my 200 dollars I had to file a chargeback with my bank. It was the first and last time I will purchase anything of real value using PayPal, and have since done business with eBay members in the local area where I can pick up the merchandise and meet/ interact with them on a personal level.

#2 Consumer Suggestion

She's right, you know.

AUTHOR: Marilith - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 22, 2008

It's considered bad eBay etiquette to misuse feedback by blaming sellers (or buyers!) for events completely out of their control. Sellers can get all their listings removed and have their accounts locked or worse if they accumulate enough negative feedback. It should never be used lightly. And no, I've never been a seller on eBay myself, I've only been a buyer, but I treasure my 100% positive feedback rating highly.

You really should have items of greater value shipped somewhere they can be signed for or safely held for you until you can retrieve them, such as your workplace, a friend or relative's house, or a shipping store such as FedEx or UPS who offer to sign for and keep your packages until you can come get them.

I don't see how an item being stolen off of your porch is her fault. Try to understand her situation too; sellers can be victimized just as easily as buyers can be. You may not be the first person claiming a stolen shipment and demanding a full refund. She can't just take your word for it. Consider utilizing the eBay dispute console to resolve the feedback issue once your complaint has been addressed.

If I bought a TV from Circuit City and had my house broken into the same day and the TV was stolen or destroyed, they're not going to refund my money or give me a new TV.
