My fiance and I spent over $500.00 between Duluth Microcenter and Marrietta Microcenter. We did not recieve any rebates for the Marrietta location, but recieved about 3 rebates for items in the Duluth Location. As instructed I mailed in the rebates. 2 months later, we still did not recieve anything. At least a  notification on if we did or didn't qualify would have been helpful. So, I call the rebate number the lady tells me to copy the UPC/ Barcodes send them in. Me not remembering which one is which I sent them all in, because I knew 3 of them qualified. 3 more months go by with no notification. I call the number again they so oh my manager put a note none of your UPC/SKU's qualify. 

False Advertisement MicroCenter, take the word Rebate off the box if you don't plan to give customer rewards!!! Next time my fiance wants to build a computer, we will not be going to MicroCenter! I created an account with them. Rebate Department should have took a look at all of the items we bought.

To Everyone Reading Please Don't Shop At MicroCenter, they don't care about the money you spend in their store. They only pretend to Care. They give you some Pretend Rebates, make you feel like your getting a deal. We Won't be Back! Promise!!!

Microsoft Rebates Aren't Real!

The rebate receipt says to wait 10-12 weeks before rebate can be complete! There are 4 weeks in one month, so naturally 2 months=8 weeks of waiting! We went 2 two different locations because 1 location didn't have everything we needed.  I completed the rebate forms correctly. Did not get a reponse. Talke 2 a rep 8 Weeks later told me to send all of my UPC/SKU's at this point I sent them all knowing 2-3 of them would qualify. I have the bottom of 3 receipts in my hand right now with the Rebate Terms in Conditions Listed. One of your reps has contacted me.  But you guys still can't tell me if I all of my rebates are in valid why do I have the terms and conditions/steps to filling out Rebate form for 3 of my reciepts.

So  basically,you guys just attach Rebate Terms and Conditions on the bottom of reciepts for the fun of it. Do not expect people to fill out the form.You guys pretend to care 5 months ago I should have recieved my rebates not keep going back in forth with Reps.

 

Attention All Customers Do Not Shop at Micro Center, don't waste time filling out Rebate Form, the Rebate Instructions were put on the bottom of your reciept for fun!  You will get no money back at all.

Your report raises questions to me.

1) Why would you be buying from 2 different locations?

2) Are you talking about 2 different times of buying?

3) How many rebates were you asking for and how many were you rewarded for EACH location?

4) Did you receive any of the rebates you are asking for? (not clear in your report due to the sentence right after the one saying about receiving 3 rebates)

5) Why did you wait for 2 months before you contacted them?

6) You admitted that you CAN NOT remember which barcode was sent in, why and how would you expect them to be qualified?

7) What was the reason that why the UPC/SKUs were not qualified?

The rebate system is a known marketing strategy. If one is buying an item based on rebate, the one is not in the right mind. The system is not robust and could easily be cheated regardless who is offering. So you need to understand the system. If you believe in the system, I am looking forward to your next post about failure from other companies' rebate...
