Mid America Bank and Trust Company Verve Card Took my payment but will not apply credit. Chicago Georgia

My finace used his debit card and paid my credit card bill and they accepted the payment. A few weeks following I went to rent a car and my card would not go through. I used another card and later called the company.  The CS person stated that the it was a suspicious payment because the payment was not made with my card.  They stated that he had to add me to his account in order to make the payment.  We did want me added to his account so we both spoke with the CS person and requested that they refund the money to him and he will transfer the money to my account and I can make the payment from my account.  They agreed to that but never did it.  They now will not refund the money or credit my account. In addition I made the payment on line but they processed it as a Western Union Payment but it was not a Western Union Payment. Everytime we call to try to rectify the situation they try to force my finace to add me to his account.
