I rented an apartment from these 2 in Janesville, and it was nothing but problems since the day we moved in. They lie, they promise, and they never deliver.

We had water leaking from both bed room windows, from the motor and light sockets of the ceiling fan, from the bathroom fan, and from the door jamb going into the bathroom. It got so bad, we could not even shut the bathroom door anymore, it was so swollen.

They refused to fix anything. They wouldn't even come in and look at the damage. Chunks of ceiling started falling on us. When we told them we were moving, after only living there a month, they finally came into the unit to fix the ceiling. But all they came in with was 2 cans of spray paint. After the spray painted it, is was of course still leaking. We even had to move our couch and coffee table because they were getting ruined from the brown water.

After talking to others in town, we found out these are the same problems they have been having for years, and they never fix them. People move in and out of these units like crazy. And electric runs about $500 a month, and city hall said that was low for these units. Something isn't hooked up right, and is draining power like crazy.

The building this couple lived in has a nearly flat roof.  About 3 years ago a brand new rubber roof was installed.   Maintanence however, on a flat roof, is always ongoing and we do all maintenance required.  While this couple lived in this condo we began having a number of leaks in their unit.  The roofer responded everytime they called within 24 hours or less.

Our roofer spent hours and hours searching for the source of these new leaks.  After this couple moved he finally found the leakage was caused by the Direct TV this couple had installed.  The edge molding had been taken up, tearing large slits in the roof and then replaced with the tears covered, making the tears extremely difficult to find.  

These condos were constructed about 4 years ago and this couple and the Direct TV installer they hired, cost us thousands of dollars in roofing repairs and interior repairs to our building.  

Their comment about the electric bill is completely inaccurate, because the couple who moved into their apartment, already lived in the complex.  They requested the electric budget because of what this couple had said about the high electric bills.  The electric budget was very reasonable and they moved to this unit.  

All the electical in this building was brand new 4 years ago and done by a licensed electrician and inspected by the State.  I can not imagine what facts they have to support the comment that the electric is not hooked up properly.  

I got multiple, and some serious complaints from every other tenant in the building complex about this couple in the one month they lived there.  I believe they are so angry at us because  they were told of these complaints and that they were going to have to move if we got any more complaints about them from the other tenants.   

I have a wonderful group of tenants in this building.  In fact, many of them move from smaller units to larger units, that come available, so they can stay.  Some have been there a number of years and are happy to be in the complex.
