Mid-city Auto Salvage- Shaun LIE AFTER LIE AND TRIES TO PASS THE BLAME ON TO THE TRUCKLINE AND EVEN HIS OWN EMPLOYEES RIPOFF Milwaukee Wisconsin

searched for catera engine online and the results give me midcity auto salvage. i contacted this bogus so called business and was told they could have this engine to me in 5 days for a total of $1495., includes shipping by R and L Transfers. I did not make this transaction for fear I wasnt asking all of the technical questions and could be mislead.

My brother-in-law who is an expertise in mechanics and was also the one who would be installing this engine made the call back to midcity and got the details and ordered this engine. They requested a checked be made out to midcity auto salvage and a copy be faxed to them, this is like an electronic transfer. This was not a problem since my brother-in-law is employed by my brother who owns and operates a family owned business for over 40 years, Midwest Truck Sales in Springfield, Illinois. This all took place on January 17th.

january 23,2006 my brother-in-law called midcity and was informed it would be here by Friday, which would now be the 27th of January. the 27th rolled around and no engine. I called midcity again and told them i wanted to check on the shipment and the response was shocking "oh yeah, you just ordered that engine a couple of days ago",i responded with"no, actually that engine was ordered a few WEEKS AGO. Oh yeah, it went out a few days ago. you should have it by Friday. This is now the 3rd of February we should get it. the excuse was trucks couldnt get loaded due to the snow they had in wisconsin.

Friday the 3rd came and no engine. I called midcity and spoke with shaun the shiester. He give me several line of lies. He said he just complete the paperwork himself, the trucklines would be there at 4:30 to pick up the engine, call back Monday and he would give me the tracking number. I informed him of all the shipments we have already been promised and yet we have not received anything.

Knowing i was conversing with someone from Midwest,shaun asked me" is he right there, can he hear me"? He then proceeded to tell me that MidwestTruck Sales was shuffling their feet. He stated that the engine wasnt paid for until my payment to MidwestTruck Sales cleared the bank and once that happened then Midwest Truck Sales mailed him payment. he didnt even know the check was faxed. Little did he know my payment to Midwest Truck Sales didnt matter, its my brothers business, he wouldnt wait for any check of mine to clear before ordering something for me.

I didnt bother to call back to get a tracking number,i just keep checking with the trucklines to see if they had a delivery for Midwest Truck Sales from midcity. Never did have such. I called midcity again on Feb 16th. my selection was tracking department. I asked for information on this catera engine and was told it has been shipped. I said BULL****, i have been told this about 4 or 5 times now. I wasnt even asked to hold, i was automatically put on hold. the next person to answer my call i told i just wanted to cancell this order. Put on hold again, then answereing my call was shiester shaun.

Again shiester shaun tells me the engine has been shipped. I told him it was not shipped, i just hung up from talking with the trucking company and confirmed they had nothing coming from midcity going to Midwest Truck. He then goes on to say my engine is sitting in Schaumburg,il at the R and L warehouse as undeliverable because his employee didnt put a bill of lading on it and the truck driver of R and L should have but didnt come and get the bill of lading. Again telling him of the numerous times this engine has supposed to have been shipped he said he just talked to R and L trucking and they havnt been able to pick up shipments for 2 weeks because of the snow but will be able to continue pick ups on Monday. I said you just told me my engine was already shipped now your telling me they havnt been able to pick up for 2 weeks. He then said mam, you can talk with Jan at the schaumburg office to confirm this, she was faxed the shipping information on this engine. I said I will.

I called the local office and spoke with the same lady i have talked to almost daily for the last 2 weeks and asked her to double check with the office in schaumburg and with a lady by the name of Jan. She came back to the phone to inform me they have no office in schaumburg, they do have 1 in elgin and there is no Jan that works there and they do not have a item as undeliverable address from midcity, midcity has not shipped anything this month by R and L

I called shaun back again to let him know i just want to cancell the order. he tells me there will be a 25% restock fee.i asked him how he could charge me a restock fee for something that hasnt even been shipped. he said I promise you this engine by Tuesday or I will give you a 100% refund.I said no i just want to cancel this order now when can we get a refund, all these 230 some negative reviews on-line really scare me. he said oh from the better business burea well i have a 16 million dollar suit against them for slander and get on-line under such and such address and hold on i want to read you something. I HUNG UP ON HIS ***. I couldnt stand to hear any more of his lies .

Not even an hour later shaun calls my brothers business and my brother-in law answers the phone.shaun says"did you stop payment on my check"? my brother-in-law says" what check is that"? shaun says"this is shaun from midcity auto salvage in wisconsin, did you stop payment on my check? My brother-in law said i guess we did.shaun said dont you want the engine and my brother-in-law said, well no. not after 3 weeks and we still dont have it.shaun says"listen hear you son of a b***h" my brother-in-law just hung up the phone.
