Midland Mortgage Co. ripoff withholding insurance checks from hurricane ravaged Mississippian.

My husband and I received a check from our insurance company several weeks ago. This check was for replacing our roof and part of our outside fence. The check was payable to Midland Mortgage Co. and my husband.

We were told to mail the check to Midland Mtg. without endorsing it and they would endorse it and mail it back. This has been almost a month ago. We have since received a second check for the inside damages. I sent this check to them also.

NOW, after going back and forth with them over the documentation they needed for the roofer ins. cert., license, etc. they tell us that they are mailing the two checks back to us for us to endorse and mail back to them so that they can hold the funds and disburse in small increments as the work is completed. They want to send only a small portion that will not even cover the roofing supplies. We have damage to our fence that we cannot fix without paying for it ourselves with the hope of getting re-imbursed some day.
