Midstate Siding & Window Double Hang Windows Supposed To Be Safety Glass, They Are Not, Also Over Priced On Windows East Peoria Illinois

Last year, I heard about this home show coming to Olney, IL. I needed new windows and I thought that all companies involved would be reputable. However, more than one year later; I found out how wrong I was.

First off, I was taken advantage of because I'm a widow. I was told not to tell anyone how much the windows would cost me, I was also told my home would be put in the local paper to show the difference in the windows originally put in my home, versus the new ones going in. No photography was taken, only a yellow sign on the front lawn.

On March 20, 2008; Mike Stout came to my home. I had placed my name in their fishbowl and an appointment was made. He told me all of the wonderful things these double hand windows can do for me, showed me how they would look if they were broken. They were to be Solar Pro Heat Mirror windows with white trim.

However, when it came to the price...12 windows would cost me $15,000.00 to replace. So, he keeps talking the price down to just under $10,000.00; I thought I was getting a good deal. I told him I could afford a huge down payment, so he let me put $50.00. There was nothing to indicate what the cost of labor would be. Only the price of $9,352.50.

Now it's one year later, I found out I got ripped off. I want to put my home up for sale, I should have paid about $300.00 per window, the windows do not have the Safety Glass stickers on the bottom left corner. When I call to let them know I got ripped off. All I got was a lady, no manager at all.

All she kept saying was, "Aren't you happy with your windows?" I told her I wasn't happy with the way I was ripped off and on top of that, 2 windows would not lock. All she did was take my number down, so far no phone call to fix them has been returned.

Mike Stout got me with the, "Don't tell anyone how much you paid for them." That kept me from thinking what I should have done. I want some kind of restitution from this company. Right now I'm paying Amerifirst $144.38 every month for the next 112 months until it gets paid off.

This company is unfair and does not care how people are treated. They need to be out of business, so they don't take unfair advantage of consumers.
