Midway Van Lines Shady Movers Hollywood Florida

This company is a joke! Run as fast as you can away from these guys! I spoke to Randy on the phone and got a moving quote from him. He guaranteed me that he was sure my cubic footage was correct and that he over estimated. LIE! He told me that if there is any extra charges they would eat them! He also told me that they are not a broker they are a carrier, and that the same truck coming to pick up my stuff is the same truck that would be delivering. LIES! I get a call from the driver, who I thought worked for Midway, asking if he could pick up on Thursday instead of on Friday. I asked where he was from and he said Moving Express! I was like Midway Vanlines is the moving company I am dealing with...so I call Randy back and it takes him a day to get back to me. He told me that they sold the move to them because it was going to be a direct move instead of it taking up to 21 days for me to get my stuff from them. LIE! Finally the movers show up at 1AM on Saturday morning...and don't leave my house until 5AM, they tell me when they walk in that my quote is wrong. That I have 220 more cubic feet than quoted...I don't get the discount for over 500 cubic feet now and they charged me a fueling change that Midway already charged me for. Since they picked up my stuff on a Saturday morning I couldn't get in contact with anyone from Midway until Monday morning. My move ended up being $2000 more, and come Monday when I called Randy he said that I would get reimbursed the $446 fuel charge and he would have someone call me back about the extra cubic footage. He told me he would call me back by the end of the day. Did I get a call back? Absolutely not! Have I heard from Randy ever since? NOPE! I have to call the 866# and press 2 to get through to customer service and they just put you on hold until your phone dies or you can't take being on hold any longer. Don't trust this company. They are thieves! They will make it seem like they will be in contact with you from start to finish! THEY WON'T! I am filing with the BBB about their shady practices! They need to be out of business for good! It is now April 15, they picked up my stuff on March 24. I moved from VA to CA and my stuff is FINALLY being delivered today!

These people will quote you really low to get your business to get money in their pockets, speak to you until your move gets picked up, and then you will NEVER be able to get in touch with them again.
