Did we learn about this Mobile home dealer and the manufactures homes that they sell here.

We bought a brand new home in 2002 and when it got cold and the heater kicked on we were shocked. With 220amp electric running to the home the lights went down and stayed down, not only that but if the heater kicked on when the microwave was on it pulled the electric out of the microwave. The heater was a Miller Nordyne, it has a government tag that states it is 100% cost efficient too, must be for California, cause in Ohio where we need a heater it certainly was not cost efficient, the electric bill was almost $200 in October (not a cold month).

The seller and manufacture do not honor their warranties either. My home is only almost 3 years old and our roof looks like it is around 20 years old, it is sagging and looks like an accordian when you look at it from far away.

Those are just minor problems the biggest problem is the electric. We have been told by a certified electrician that there are around 3 different shorts in this home. When Midwest brought their electrician (who never showed a licence) in to this home, he tried to tell us that "All mobile homes do this", which was a joke because we had a '77 Fleetwood mobile home with all electric and when the heater kicked on my lights just flickered and came back bright, and you could plug a blow-dryer in your bathroom and the lights didn't go to candlelight, or plug a circular saw in the outside outlet and every light in the house dim to candlelight. It has already caused a electrical fire in December 2002 when the fireplace fan shorted out. Had the fire department out and they wrote on a report that it was electrical and caused by a short. When we took the fan out the wires were blown apart with the ends bubbled.
When they delivered the home, they let the one side slide down a hill and hit a tree, and now we know they never fixed it before they put it together. We have a stripe in our family room ceiling that we have been told by Commodore official that it was dust. I found out when I went on the roof that it has been leaking ever since 2002. One part of the roof is straight and where it hit the tree, that part is about 1 1/2" over in a different line. _________________, this is how it looks!
------
When I seen the shingles I went spastic. The asphalt was totally off on one section of the roof cap.
Please don't buy their mistakes like we did. They made us go thru arbitration and offered us $10,000, then I found out on the internet that Ohio and several other states have a "Lemon Law" for mobile homes it is called 'Magoson Moss Warranty Act" you don't have to settle on what they say in arbitration you can take them to court if they knew about the problems and did nothing to fix or repair them.
