I stumbled upon Mike Lanes Jeans and was intrigued by it's promise of name brand jeans for what I thought was a competetive price and good look. There is nothing on the site (unless I did not see it after numerous examinations), that indicates that the jeans sold by this company are anything but new.

If I had wanted to buy used jeans I would have gone to ebay and did a search for used and paid less than what he is selling their inferior quality used pants for. At any rate I took a chance, and ordered a pair. I was impressed with the quick shipping time and notice upon opening the package that there was a unpleasant smell to the fabric in the jeans. I also thought it was odd that there were no tags of any kind or things that would typically be a part of a new pair of jeans. I was 80 percent sure I'd been sold a pair of used jeans, but still I was moderately happy because they did fit well and I figured I would be able to wash the bad aroma out of them. But then I noticed there are some major stitching anomalies.

Another odd factor about the jeans was that inside the pants there were cleaning tags that were in Chinese or Japanses language. I defintely thought he claimed that they were made in the US? What is up with that?

I feel that if this company wants to sell used pants they should be responsible and say these are used jeans and also not lie that their product is made in the US. I believe they have been washed or shrunk. My attempts to correspond with the company and get my money back have thus far been unsuccessful as they will not respond to me. So I am now reporting fraud and seeing if they still can refund me. I realize I will probably have to chalk it up to experience and be out this money on horribly stitched jeans. Mike lanes has fabricated a lie.
