I agree with other reports about Mike Mathia on this site. He is a liar - nothing he ever said to me ended up being true. He set up a photo shoot to "teach" me photography - but I learned nothing new! Then he wanted me to buy his camera from him for $4,000 plus - and I ended up buying a new and upgraded version of his camera for less than $1,000 - I can't believe he thought I'd fall for it.
He came on to me and my models that day, and pulled all sorts of guilt trips out of his butt about how awful I was treating him (by being naturally suspicious), saying that he had come "all the way" to see me and spent so much money on dinner and gas - when I had offered several times to reimburse him, only to be refused.
Since then I have realized that he is such a fraud. He has pictures (specifically those of Jennifer Love Hewitt) posted that he claims are his work but were snapped instead by a famous photographer. He is a DISGRACE to this PROFESSION!!!! He also has posted several images that I myself took that day, which he has time and time again refused to remove or give credit to me for. I have reported him in the past, and even called the office of the beforementioned photographer whose pictures appear on Mike's site. They threatened him with legal action so he took them down. Sure enough they reappeared once he knew they were no longer watching.
Bottom line is, he is not to be trusted. He will cheat you out of anything, lie to you about everything, and leave you with nothing. Stay far away from this pathetic excuse of a human.

I believe every word. He is an awful human being and constantly tries to steal something from someone. He doesnt care what he does to get whatever he wants, and I appreciate you also filing a report on him. There are 7 now. I just happened to see him begging people for food on facebook so I did a google search.
Here's some updated info I found pertaining him, his "businesses", and his social life. All as expected. He's a sociopath and needs professional help. Jail wasn't enough I guess. Oh yeah. Jail.
