Mike's Garden Center Buyer Beware - Failure to Give Vital Info Southlake Texas

BUYER BEWARE!!  We picked out shrubs yesterday at Mike's Garden Center on Hwy 114, and we specifically asked for help.  We had the guy take us around and help us choose $200 worth of plants.  Yes they have a sign that says NO REFUNDS (Beware of businesses that do this!  To me, if you are a reputable business and care about customer service, this should not be your approach)  Anyway, we get home and I find out that one of the shrubs he helped us pick out is POISONOUS to pets and children. 

Now, maybe I'm crazy, but pointing out a plant is POISONOUS should probably be higher in their scale of useful information than whether it grows in sun or shade.  When I called the next day, I was told by the person that answered the phone AND the manager that they don't give refunds or exchanges. THEY HAD ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST IN HELPING ME.   I specifically asked the manager if he was really unwilling to accept any responsibility for the fact that this REALLY IMPORTANT PIECE OF INFORMATION was not shared. 

He refused to accept any ownership, instead said it was my fault.  SO BUYERS, if you choose to do business with this center (and I won't, I will go somewhere else where they marginally care about customer service) be sure YOU ask all the questions you would need to know; take your phone or laptop and stop the employee while you search to see if the plants are poisonous, etc.  Because they will not share this information with you.  (Oh, and how hard would it be to put that info on a sign if they don't want to tell customers verbally???
