I would like tell every future buyers to aware of how shady Mile High Acura can be. I have purchased over 10 vehicles in the past; from new to used everything was either bought with cash or financed. I was "fortunate" enough to lease an Acura TSX at mid 20s. And this is probably one of many reasons that I was ripped off. Young and inexperienced!

This happened August 4th of 2009. I have just walked in Mile High Acura with my then trade in 2006 Impreza WRX STi with about 40k something miles (don't recall how much it was exactly). At that time I was just looking to purchase used 05 RL that they had it in their used lot. However when I met sales man named Mark, I told him I would like to see the RL. Also I threw in an idea that I would like to lease something else if anything would hit my budget which was 300-400 dollars. He said he can work something out and walked me into inside the dealership. I have been there many times because my friends bought their cars and I am Korean and I was aware that many Korean people have bought bunch of cars in their lots. Also I grew up in town so I would visit their show room floor to check out NSXs back in 00 and hang around with other sales guys couples years back. So I wasn't any new to the place and felt very comfortable and trusted Mark thinking he is cool enough to trust my money and car.

So we sat down and talked about our trade in and I believe I had about 18000 loan remaining for STi. However he came up with a number 16000 for trade off. And I can recall when it was 09, STi's trade value on kbb was roughly 21000 with good condition and I was firm that I wouldn't be upside down. I knew of my vehicle condition, I knew I wasn't going to get 21000 but hoping to get 18000 since it was on fair condition bracket. However I was trusting Mile High or this sales man too much. I just believed in his words. He ended up giving me 16500 and actual loan amount was 17762

**Looking at the contract, under MODEL I only see IMPREZA. Now I am beginning to believe my car was treated as Impreza, not Impreza WRX Sti. I believe they put as base form of Impreza! And yes there is HUGE difference between these cars. Currently Impreza WRX STi's trade in values anywhere between 16-18k in many websites. Since this whole mess happened almost 2 years ago the value should be right about 18-21k at the time.

Mark brings all the paper work and "we agreed" that the payment on the car should be 650 dollars per month for 36 months, and 10k miles yearly. With residual value of 18821.40 This is not MDX or RL this is TL. Uh-oh, I wasn't paying attention to the paper didn't notice this number until I actually signed Lease Agreement form (doh!).

I don't know what I ate for the breakfast or they must have put some magic spells on water that they have given me. For some odd reason I saw their tax as monthly payment. I swore tax looked like 478.7 instead 47.87. Then I told Mark that "OMG this is too much payment! didn't I tell you in the beginning that I was shooting for 300-400 months? I am so sorry but I don't think I could ever pay this much amount on a leased car! 650!!?? Are you sure we have talked about this?" He then brings the paper that I have signed (those monthly and tax scraps that people sign). Well indeed there was some signature I have made. I honestly couldn't pay that much amount so I begged them to back out the contract.

**I asked him where is my STi and he told me he already sold the STi. It was about 1-2 hour since I was in the dealership and they already sold my car. Not sure if this is legal but this is very shady. I honest believe they didn't sell it and they actually had it on their shop for about 2 weeks since then. I know this because they wanted my old wheels and exhaust, so they can put it back to stock. Which I believe they didn't sold it to anyone but keeping it to themselves.

Anyways I was just awed by how this was going, I just lost my car and now I am going to be stuck with 650 payment with 10k miles limitation for 3 years. Am I leasing a Porsche 911?
Mark then said "F**king xxxxx" *how professional he was to me, first I trusted him that he may be able to get me a good deal then I get a horrible deal because if we calculate this lease payment I am clearly over charged on this lease.

Then I talked to them to back out and they said NO you Can't! you are stuck with it. And then funny, I said I can't pay 650 for 3 years. Then they suggest to change it to 48 months instead 36. I am wondering how they can't cancel my contract while they can just shred my other one and make a new one with brand new for additional 12 months. I think they were lying about it and wanting me to stuck with lease and just wanted to sell the car.

They "finalized" deal by residual value at 15849.60 for 48months. Monthly payment of 586.57

Paying MSRP doesn't even sound like a good idea but I did. Oh I actually paid more than MSRP for this TSX. I didn't know TSX was something so rare that I had to pay mark ups that doesn't even listed in the window sticker. *Sarcasm

**
Adjusted Capitalized Cost was 34978.20
I believe this includes 750 destination
MSRP was 32260.00
=$33020.00

Trade in remaining balance 17762-16500=$1262
If I add 1262 and 33020=$34282

$34978.20 (the price I am actually paying for the car)- 34282= $696.20

However I am wondering where they got the number $34978.20 and where did my $696.20 went? I was overcharged 696 more and my trade in was technically valued as base line up.
With finance charge I bet 696 makes big difference because my MF is at 0.00269 thus about 6.456% APR.

I would have happy to pay MSRP for this TSX if this was actually 2011 Porsche GT3. Does this one have exclusivity? No it doesn't. At the time of purchase this vehicle I was 25, I was wearing a polo shirts, sneakers and shorts. I bet if I was wearing some suits and ties and was in my 40s they would have treated me better. They probably thought I was just some another kid who would pay anything they throw on the table. And yes I wasn't paying attention because I was just trusting Mile High Dealership as my friend. I can name all my friend who have visited there and bought. I can still recall my experience with my friends, we were getting some services done on my friend's vehicle and there was suppose to be a cool gentleman from sales. At the time there was NSX and we were awed by just being able to look at it. He then tells us, "Are you guys insterested in buying one of these?" We said no way we can afford it right now. However he said "You guys can buy it if everyone chip in 20k each." there was 4 of us. Everyone that I know of who bought it from Mile High Acura recommended me however I highly don't recommend them. Don't think this is another friendly dealership, I believe those days are over because they are not the same dealership.

In my personal experiece I was ripped off and was treated unfairly and I can throw in all these numbers and facts.

I have my own business and our business motto is Honesty. Many business is profit oriented, not many stand up for what they have done wrong. Our economy is down and it's just not "president's fault *laughs" but it's people not being honest and taking advantage of each other for own good.

BTW my friend got the exact same car for about 2000 less on MSRP 4 months prior my experience at the same dealership.

If you are not experienced with financing and leasing, don't trust these guys. They will use you and add more to you. I hope there wasn't anybody like me. I am still making payment of 586.57 on 48 term lease for annual 10k miles. Great!! I could have bought BMW for that money. I have learned my mistakes, I hope you guys would too. I know I don't recommend Mile High to my friends anymore.
