Minks Youth & Family Services Director refused to pay staff for weeks at a time! richmond Virginia

Angela Brown, the director at Minks refused to pay mental health specialists for work that was completed. Even after some specialist's late work was turned in, she still held checks. Many people complained that they cannot pay bills and there is a high turnover rate for QMHPs. She has less than 10 clients and seems to be out of money and can't pay staff. She makes up lies and excuses when staff ask about their checks. The pay is not good and she forces you to drive clients around to places that don't have to do with their service goals to keep them as clients. She cursed the staff out and called them names for not knowing how to do docs that she never trained on.

In the field of mental health, it is important to know one's duties and responsibilities as it relates to providing top quality services. This field requires competent people who knows their duties/responsibilities, rules/regulation, boundaries, ethics, and self-control. MINKS pride themselves on professionalism and ethical practices. MINKS adhere to rules and regulatory guidelines. Staff members are equipped to provide excellent services through trainings and necessary supports. It is up to the individual to learn the skills necessary to provide exceptional services. It is also up to the staff member to read their contracts that states what is required to perform the duties and if not perform how this could affect them. Checks are always distributed when documents are signed.
