I got a letter in the mail today. The envelope looked like this:

When I opened said envelope, inside was this letter:

Then I looked in the envelope and found a check also. This is the check:

The big tip-off for me that this was a fraud was the fact that the letter came from Houston, but the letter is postmarked from Madrid. I IMMEDIATELY got online to see if anyone had reported it yet and thank goodness someone had, right here on this site. But, since there was only 1 report on it, I figured I would do one too, just so people know it is a FRAUD!

RED FLAG!!! DO NOT FALL FOR THIS! I have not seen this type of scam before, but no one sends free money...ESPECIALLY ALMOST $2,000!!! Nice try! I hope this stops anyone from falling for this crap.

M&M insurance company The company gave me a check worth 1,888.55 I deposited the check but I started to wonder why it was such a large amount and then I looked up this company and found out it was a scam! I'm scared and don't know how to handle this situation. Internet
