Molaer and Dela Serna Law Office, Atty Alexis Molaer Final warning by reason of refused (sic) and/or failure to pay or settle obligation Quezon City Phillipines

i have a personal non-secured loan from a local bank which i was not able to pay due to the fact that i lost my job in 2009.

a few months after i went to the bank to offer an initial payment and request for a payment scheme to which the bank refused both requests. i requested the bank representative of other options i have but was informed that the only option available is to pay the full amount. i asked the bank representative what will happen if i passed away (because at that time i felt helpless and was planning on committing suicide)..the bank representative told me that if i passed away the bank will go after my parents.

given that scenario i left the bank and tried to find a job which i did sometime 2010 after i've sold all my personal properties to pay rent, buy food, pay for utilities and fare to go to various job interviews.

to shorten the story, i was able to find a regular job though the pay is less than half of what i used to get but if puts food on the table, pays for my parents' medicines, pay for utilities and fare for commuting to and from work.

sometime june 2013, i received a letter from Molaer and Dela Serna Law Offices demanding that i pay an exorbitant amount supposedly for my personal loan.

the letter also claimed that Molaer and Dela Serna Law Office has exhausted all means to reach me to allow me amicably settle my account.

funny thing is this is the first time i received such letter from them and the letter was signed by a certain Atty. Alexis A. Molaer and underneath the name was the word "For the Firm".

sometime july 2013, i took hold of a letter from Molaer and Dela Serna Law Offices. this time my mother informed me that the letter was allegedly dropped off at a neighbor's door.

1st why was the 2nd letter dropped off at a neighbor but am assuming the 1st letter was delivered to my parent's house where i am staying.

2nd the letter states that this is their "last warning" and further states that "by reason of your refused (sic) and/or failure to pay or settle your obligation, we are presently having serious discussion with our client, (name of bank) regarding the next legal action, which we intend to do, that is the immediate preparation and filing of the appropriate legal case against you in court, if legally warranted".

this letter actually made my mother worried enough to make her blood pressure shoot up and as of this writing my mother is feverish and was advised by the doctor to do bed rest.

this 2nd letter was again signed by a certain Atty Alexis A Molaer.

if someone out there is thinking of filing a class action suit against this firm i can be contacted to participate.

it's time that these people who take advantage of our grief and dire situations be put behind bars.
