I am very disappointed in your GACE Health Education Study Guide. Your practice exam has many questions which are NOT covered anywhere in the text. One of which is question #77/page 156. Nowhere in the study guide is Alateen mentioned, although it is considered the correct answer.

Also, the indicated correct answer to question #64/page 154 (answer D), is totally different than what is in the Study Guide on page 140 under Heart Attack. According to the text, CPR is to be performed only if you are trained.

There are many other practice exam questions which subjects or answers are not mentioned in the text. All this leads me to think that the rest of the information and material in your Study Guide may be faulty as well. I feel that I have wasted my time and money with your product.

I am disappointed and cannot recommend your product.

We Have Corrected the Error

AUTHOR: Mometrix - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 25, 2011

Our study guide content and practice questions are developed by separate teams of writers, so the information contained in each does not overlap exactly. In our study guide content, we try to cover the information most likely to be found on the exam, but obviously cannot do an exhaustive review of everything that could possibly be on the exam. Developing the practice questions separately reflects that reality. We try to provide detailed answer explanations that provide additional information even if the topic was not directly covered in the study material.

We agree that our information on when to perform CPR was unclear and we have tried to clarify the language. While we mention that a person trained to perform CPR should do so, the text doesn't address what an untrained person should do. The current guidelines from the American Heart Association recommend that even untrained bystanders attempt chest compressions on a victim needing CPR until someone with more training arrives (http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/first-aid-cpr/FA00061). After receiving this feedback, we have added the sentence: "Even if you are untrained, performingchest compressions until help arrives is recommended for victims of a heart attack."

Customer satisfaction is one of our top priorities. We have been in contact with the customer and have addressed these concerns.
