Money Tree Mortgage ripoff took me for $300.00 Olathe Kansas

Hi to all reading, Last late summer, early fall I called Money Tree Mortgage to try and get a loan for a home. The guy called back and told us we could get a FHA loan, The way it sounded we had a loan already approved, All we had to do was to send $300.00 to get it processed. He would e-mail the papers to us that evening.

Well the evening came and no papers to fill out and none the next day. Could not get a hold of him. Finally tried to get ahold of a manager to let them know we wanted our money back, said we could not get it back unless we closed on a loan, but the only way I got a response was to threaten to turn it over to an Attorney General then I got the paper work from two different people. But still did not get the money back. I am afraid that it might be too late to get my money back on this.

I can't afford to just throw away $300.00. Any suggetions on this matter? I know some said go to the bank but then one said it had been too long. Would appreciate some ideas. Thank-you.
