Monumental General Administrators Inc Stonebridge Insurance Company Company giving the run around for over 2 months now Atlanta, Georgia

I filed a claim for gap insurance w/ this company in Nov. 2009. I totaled my car out on Nov 3rd and my reg insurance company paid their portion soon after the accident. This left a balance of around $2,500, the portion that the gap insurance co is suppose to pay. Every time I call, they tell me to send info in to them. I have faxed in the appropriate info 10+ times already and they keep saying that they haven't received it. I have offered to drive to ATL to drop the info off. The representative then states that there is no physical address to bring it to?? This is totally unacceptable and doesn't even make sense. I am really starting to wonder if this is even a legitimate company or just some scam set up to take money from hardworking people. This has been going on for 2 months now and I am unable to finance another car due to this outstanding balance on my credit. They constantly have a different story every time I call them and no one can give a straight answer. I paid for this insurance just in case something happened to my car I wouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket. Now that I actually need the insurance to hold up their end of the policy, they are no where to be found. I am considering taking legal action because at this point, I still have no car and I am in fear of losing my job due to not having a ride most of the time.
