Fairbanks Capital Corporation Dishonest trade practices. Fraudulant took mortgage payments and missapplied them. Returned payments for no reasons. Poor customer service. Jacksonville Florida

Fairbanks has missapplied our mortgage payments on 4 different occasions and fails to admit their wrong doing. After confronting them about this, we were told to PROVE our payments and they would render a decision within 30 days.

Render a decision on what? They cashed my check and can't account for the money. No decision rendering to be made there.

After my father-in-law passed away in December, I called fairbanks to ask for a deferred paymnent due to the cost of the funeral and going to Detroit. To this day, I have not heard from them.

I filed a complaint with the Attorney General in January 2004 and a Paralegal in Jacksonville FL from Fairbanks was quick to respond with one lie after another. After receiving a copy of her response, I called her. She promised me everything was under control because she personslly was going to see to it.

She saw to it alright. My March and April payment were returned to me with no reasons attached. I call Fairbanks to find out what was going on. No one can tell me.

Here I sit in April and I am no further along than I was in December. I continue to try and contact her but she never answers her faxes, emails or phone messages.

The Attorney general has closed my complaint based on the answer she provided.

It's to the point now that I am not going to sent them anymore money and let them come to me. We've bent over backwards trying to keep a good relationship with Fairbanks and they simply do not care. It's all about the money.

Fairbanks continues to conduct business under guideline that benifet only themselves. We didn't ask for Fairbanks to manage our mortgage. They bought the note from Equicredit without affording us the option to find other funding. Now that they have everything all screwed up, no one will touch us.
