Here it is: 20 Days ago i recieved an email saying the following:

Our branches are closing...but our support for you in ongoing

Dear valued customer,
We want you to know that HFC is in the process of closing all branch offices is not accepting any new applications. Please be assured that we remain fully committed to you and to servicing your account with the utmost care and attention.

Due to this recent announcement, we are experiencing high call volume. But our Customer Serivice Representatives are still available to answer your questions. Please call us at 1-800-365-4812.

Although our branches are closing, it is important that you continue to make timely payments according to your payment schedule. Making on-time payments ensures that your credit record stays strong.

Then gives you 4 payment options.

So from here we as consumer call the number and speak with someone on April 3rd, 2008. They inform us that there is no loan modification, refinanceing, and rate reductions. All they have availiable to the public is a hardship program. This is a program that allows you to reduce your payment for 6 months. Then after you have to reapply. Which will only be accepted up to a certain amount of times.

Needless to say. The government has this thing going on called sellers market, depression, and etc.... Whatever you want to call it. All I know is that my house has reduced in value and my mortgage company has gone to a stop sale.

We apply for the program that day. On April 7th I send the paperwork they need. They tell you they need a 7-10 day grace period. We then call back on April 20th, 2009. They tell us that they have the paperwork and it is being proccessed and to call back in 24 hours for a answer. We then call back on April 22nd, 2009. They have yet to have a response. I talk with the manager on duty. Who informs me that I should call back on April 27th, 2009 @ noon. So this brings us up to date. He also informs us on that day as of now there is nothing being sent to consumers on why or what they can do in this situation. I am now as my witts end. They have yet again today pushed me off for another day. They said to an outrageous amount of applications they are taking a lil longer. Then why give a 7-10 day grace period for answer??? Especially when we called in prior to the new amount of applications. With what has happened can we be sure our payments are going where they should?

How can it be legal to push someone into forecloser??? Where do you go? What do you do??? If anyone has any advice please reply.

So my report is. Can they Stop sale and not provide any help to consumer with the market down like this and it be legal. I say no. May to whom I have spoke with say the same. Just thought I would spread the word incase anyone else is having the same problem.
