I have been fighting with this company for the past two years to clear my account. I have made payments in advance, only to have them applied to Legal Fees, Research Fees, Evaluation Fees, Property Inspection Fees, (no one has ever been to my home to inspect anything),etc. In June of 2006, I deferred 2 payments, July and August, due to being unemployed. I was told at that time I would have to add $25.00 to my monthly payment to cover the payments being deferred. A payment was made every month, until January 2007. On 2-13-07 3 payments were made for January, including late charges, February and March. I received a notice from OCWEN that because my January payment was not made on time, they reverted two of the payments back to July and August of 2006, therefore, I was 2 payments behind on my mortgage, February and March. I have written to them, called them, faxed them and tried every other way to get this issue resolved. I asked in my written correspondence why I still had to pay the extra $25.00 since they did not defer the payments and I was told that was now part of my payment. In May 2007, I went to a county agency trying to get help with a mortage payment, as I was still unemployed, and they needed specific information, stating my name, account number, the months I was behind, excluding any late fees, and the statement had to be signed by someone with their company. The agency would not accept a typed name without a signature. I faxed this information to OCWEN and was told on the phone they sent it to their research department. I called again two days later to check the status and was told the research department would send the information. I got nothing, and the agency got nothing. On April 4, 2007 a payment was sent by Money Gram, which should have covered March. On May 15, 2007 a cashier's check was sent for $3,386.40, 4 monthly payments, which should have covered April, May, June and July. I received a statement from OCWEN showing the May 17th payments received, but applied to everything except my mortgage payments, and stating that my next payment due was for June 5th. I have received numerous default letters from this company, stating reasons for late payments, taxes due, (I have until March 2008 to pay my taxes), no insurance etc. My sister and brother in-law, made all the payments on my mortage from September 2006 through the check in May 2007, due to my being unemployed.

I called their OCWEN on 7-31-07 at 8:50 a.m. asking to speak to a Supervisor, and was put on hold for 40 minutes, no one ever came on the phone. I called again at 2:40 p.m. asking to speak to a Supervisor, no one ever came on the phone, I was on hold for 20 minutes. I sent a payment on 7-31-07. Where does this ever end? I received another default notice yesterday, stating I was again 2 payments behind, and a third payment would be due on 8-5-07. I did not originate a mortgage with OCWEN. My original mortgage was with Upland, who sold it to OCWEN. I really think this bank is in business to defraud people out of their homes. I have sent a copy of every payment made from the orignation of the loan through Upland, and a copy of every bank statement, money order, money gram, etc. to show that my payments are not behind, but they will not adjust their records.

Been there, done that, still doing it. 2 years and counting-and I have an email from their lawyer to them telling them to get it straight, and a response email saying it was done. I am still trying to prove I am up to date.

Every time I try to refi, they screw me over. But, I will win in the end, I have no doubt.
