Moshe Chrique ripped us off for $290.65 for various swimming pool services and items requested such as a time clock mechanism, unpaid, pool sweep vacuum replacement hoses, unpaid, pool cleaning service etc.

Moshe Chrique separately also purchased a new filter from us, but did not want to spend the additional money to replace the backwash valve it connects to.  After installing the new filter his backwash valve began to leak, totally unrelated to us.  We told him how much a new backwash valve would be installed and he expressed it should have been included.  We reminded him we only sold him the filter and offered the backwash valve previously but would be happy to install it for the additional cost.

Moshe Chrique refused to pay for the other work we did, also unrelated to his leaking backwash valve.  $290.65!! we are owed.

To add insult to injury this jerk then files a complaint with the CSLB California State Contractors License Board.  We fully cooperated and they subsequently closed the case as they were in agreement, we did not sell him a backwash valve, and the leak had nothing to do with our work.

I wonder if this realtor expects to be paid for the work he does??

False claim by Brian Rejniak , Brian Rosser Rejniak, OC Pool & Spa, ocpoolspa . com

AUTHOR: DoingEverythingRight - (United States)

POSTED: Sunday, November 12, 2017

This is a complete bogus report made by:

Brian Rejniak , Brian Rosser Rejniak, Brian R. Rejniak. OC Pool & Spa, Orange COunty Pool and Spa, ocpoolspa . com

When I made contact they said they were in fact licensed in the State of California. licensed by CSLB. Their website used to show this but I imagine they wised up after my involvement, see below. When I was encountered in person @ 6am in my backyard I realized there was a huge red flag that went up. Spoke to a pool contractor I know in Los Angeles and he said the reason he was out that early is to avoid detection in a possible sting that are held by CSLB in order to catch a predator (unlicensed contractor) which they hold several times a week throughout CA. He said this Brian must know CSLB does not perform stings at that hour. Otherwise, not a professional pool contractor would otherwise be servicing a home at that hour of the morning.

At this point, I do a quick online search on the CSLB website, and realized neither he or the company was licensed. I told him to cease any and all work and never step foot on my property otherwise I would call the police. This whole report about parts and valves is a complete fabrication.

Months later, here come the false invoices for work they claimed to perform. Then the threatening phone calls and fake collection letters. Then the fake mechanics lien notice. BTW my good friend is an attorney and he said no judge in the entire state will grant a mechanics lien to an unlicensed contractor.  PLEASE READ AGAIN: DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR FAKE MECHANICS LIEN NOTICE - BECAUSE..."no judge in the entire state will grant a mechanics lien to an unlicensed contractor"

SEVEN years later I still cannot pull this leach Brian off my body. He has nothing but time on his hands and will literally stalk you until you pay. I imagine most folks pay once they see his fake mechanics lien notice but I am not they type of person to just hand over money for nothing in return and certainly not to an unlicensed contractor.

Any consumer who wishes to contact me is welcomed and I have copies to this day of the CSLB findings, fake collection letters and so forth. I even had to take the time out my day to go the regional office for CSLB and pick this guy out of a real photo lineup, circle his creepy photo and sign my name like you see on TV. I had to describe his old beat up White work truck with no company logo and the investigator said for some odd reason they always drive an old white truck with side compartments for tools.

State Law requires a license for repairs and installations for any amount exceeding $500. There must be a reason why he or his company does not choose to become licensed, right?

They did not fully cooperate in the case with CSLB, the chief investigator referred the case to the OC DA and fined them a penalty. CSLB does have legal authority to criminally prosecuste so they referred the case to the OC DA's office. Unfortunately the OC DA is understaffed, underfunded, overwhelmed with larger cases and therefore most likely did not criminally prosecute.

cslb . ca . gov :

Here are some guidelines to use when you begin searching for state-licensed contractors. Using s licensed contractor could help your avoid financial risk and other problems associated with unlicensed operators.

In California, anyone who contracts to perform work on a project that is valued at $500 or more for combined labor and materials costs must hold a current, valid license from CSLB. You can verify the license or call (800) 321-CSLB (2752).

ALERT Be advised that unlicensed individuals pose a risk to you and your family's financial security if a worker is injured while on your property, your property is damaged, or if the work is incomplete and/or faulty. Few, if any, unlicensed individuals have a bond or workers' compensation insurance. The quality of their work usually doesn't compare to that of a licensed contractor. Don't take the chance in order to save a few dollars. You'll probably end up paying more in the long run.
