I use to teach at Moultrie Technical College, but I left a few years ago due to unfair treatment of the instructors and students.

The school prides it's self on education, but that is far from the truth. I have witness the harassment of instructors that were trying to do things the honest way without covering up or lying about things and they were told either do it or look for somewhere else to go.

Instead of trying to work with their instructors to solve an issue, they are told "hit the road, you can be replaced". There was one case were one of the office workers on another campus was having some health problems and needed some time off, She had to quit because they rode her to do work that she wasnt able to do.

The VP was heard telling a former dean, who was trying to point out a mistake, that she was either with him or against him. The VP is much like a puppet on a string, turning a blind eye to the unjust things that go on, because he knows that he could be in hot water for using state equipment and instructors for his own personal needs.

Every time a good instructor is let go or quits the students suffer. It has got to the point where students are just a number. I have set in a number of meetings where we were told not to drop a student because they need the numbers.

Now I agree in order to keep a college or program up and running you need students. The problem is at what cost? Do you want to place a student on a job and they can barely read or only comes to school when they feel like it?

I would recommend anyone that wants a job or a student that is thinking of becoming a student with this school to reconsider, it may sound good for the first year or so, but you will begin to see through the shadows just how unorganized they are.

If you are the type of person that doesn't care about honesty or a students education then this is the place you need to be. If you are an honest person and it bothers you to do things you know is not right then do not apply at this school.

I am so glad I left and I now have a real teaching job at an university. Where students are made to follow rules and they can learn without the fear of losing their teacher, because they would not be dishonest.
