Mountain Loan Centers Utah or Alpine Loans Ripped me off on a simple $700 that turned into them suing me for $3800.00 Bankruptcy followed!! Saint George Utah

Mountain Loan Centers are complete Rip-Offs. They are very nice when getting a loan, but, once they have you hooked they turn very ugly. The young people that run the Salt Lake office have all been very nice. They are just hired to do a job. I might add there is a very high turnover rate. New employees every time I went in to make a payment.

The St George corporate office is another story. They can't wait to rip people off. They are rude, threatening and unprofessional.  What happened to me was totally their fault.

They tried to cash a money order I sent them two times. Then they had the audacity to say that my money order had bounced. I had to contact Western Union and find out that it did not bounce, they wouldn't cash the SAME money order twice, as it had already been paid.  Careen said they would work with me and hault all the late fees while we figured this out. It turned out after a month, the collection calls started again.  I was told to send what I could on the original loan and they would "work with me".  Totally untrue.  They were helping themselves to my money!!

I had a previous loan for $1000 that I paid. Now I owed $700 on this loan.  Before i knew it they were garnishing my wages. I was told by our payroll department that MLC is famous for garnishing people's wages.  My company employees over 3,000 people. I never got served, only a garnishment at my work.  I was forced to file for Bankrupcty protection.  This was very disheartening since I had to include all of my bills.  I should mention that this $700 end up being $3800 that they were suing me for.  I barely had the $700, let alone $3800. 

Do yourself a favor, and NEVER use Mountain Loan Centers of St George Utah.  They are rip offs and could care less about helping people. I about throw up every time there commercials are on "Our REAL friendly loan officers are waiting to help you, we don't care if you have bad credit, no credit or bankruptcy" because we are going to screw the hell out of you anyway!!  I hope they rot in hell.  Self serving ba*ds.
