For our move to Florida, we called in 3 moving companies. Two had very similar prices, which we thought we just a little high. First American came in with the low price. Just to make sure that the price was correct and firm, we called the salesman Mike back again to go over all we had to move.

We got a new bid which was a little higher, because we added a motorcycle and a couple of other items, but then with a 'Discount', it brought the price back in line with the first quote. A deposit was tendered and accepted, the contract was signed and we waited for the move. We packed a lot of stuff ourselves. The move out foremen said that he thought the price was underestimated, but not to worry, 'he'll take care of us'. He took 'care' all right, the new price was more than 50% higher than the 'Binding Estimate', but we could take it up with 'Joe'. 'Joe' reduced the price a little, but it was still more than 40% higher than the 'Binding Estimate'.

When the truck arrived in Florida, I asked to check on the condition of the motorcycle and other fragile goods. We were told that the additional $400 to ship the bike was because 'nothing could go on top of it. The bike was piled with 4 -6 cartons of our goods. I asked that the bike be unloaded first to make sure that there was no damage. They would not move it until they had been paid. An argument ensued and we wound up calling the police. We were told that the only way we could get any satisfaction would be to sue them in small claims court, otherwise, because of the way that the contract was written, there wasn't much the police could do. The bike sustained a couple of hundred dollars to broken housings and other damage. We are unpacking and assessing the balance of the damage to our goods now.

Do not use this company under any circumstance! Go elsewhere, they cannot be trusted.
