Movers didn't upload furniture professionally to fit into the footage allowance of the U-Pack container. Antique furniture broke due to bad upload. Movers was working with Moving Staffers who were referred by ABF-U-Pack to upload our furniture to U-Pack container on June 23, 2014, with which we booked for 14 feet, we had to pay extra 5 feet of $132 per additional footage due to their unprofessionally way not able to utilize the space. They put heavy furniture after and on top of the lighter boxes. An unwrapped antique heavy wood table on top of boxes left top half of the container empty. At the end of the shipment, only a mattress took over 1 1/2 feet, then put a dolly cart which took over another foot in front of it. When we demanded them to re-arrange it, they said their 5 hours' time was up, also they claimed that was the best they could do even though we said the top half of the container was empty. When the container arrived across the country, the belt tied to the end of all the furniture was popped out. Due to empty space on the top half of the shipment, most items, wood table, wood chairs, refrigerator, freezer which were only loosely wrapped by the movers, were shifted from one side to another. Besides damages on the shifted appliances and furniture, the shift hit and damaged the adjacent boxes. We contacted Moving Staffers but our compliant was denied because they claimed the movers only responsible for damage on the job site, we had to instruct these professional movers how to pack! Moving Staffers came up with these unreasonable excuses not to take responsibility of their unprofessional service of being professional movers! As if how can a patient tell a doctor how to perform a surgery on him? Or how doesn't a restaurant take responsibility of their food prepared unless their customers get sick inside the restaurant? ABF-U-Pack should not refer Moving Staffers, Moving Staffers should not qualify as being a professional moving company when their staffs cannot professionally do their jobs well.
