Mr. Lube screwed me with no LUBErication!!!!! Laurens, South Carolina

I have taken my vehicle to Mr.Lube for a full service oil change the past 4 oil changes. I have a lengthy commute to work each day, so i usually require an oil change every month.

On 1/27/2012 I took my car in & advised them that I was there for a full service oil change, when my car was finished they said the amount was $24.72 so I asked if the price had changed because it is usually $29.04, he stated that he only did the basic service since they were out of washer fluid, he went on to say that he did not want me to waste my money. 

On 3/1/2012 I went in & asked for a full service oil change, I was there 5 minutes and they charged me $29.04 said everything was fine and sent me on my way.

On the night of 3/12/2012, I put the vehicle in "Drive" and press the accelerator, the vehicle was acting as if I had it in "Neutral", and then jerked real hard and took off. [continued below]....
..... I called a friend who is a mechanic and advised him how the vehicle was acting, he advised me to have the transmission fluid checked.

I went to Advanced Auto Parts and asked a representative to check my transmission fluid, he checked it as I watched. The transmission fluid was charcoal black and he said that the transmission fluid was burnt up.

On 3/13/2012, I called Mr. Lube and advised them of the transmission fluid being burnt up, the manager, Jeff, apologized and said that it must have been overlooked during my oil change on 3/1/2012. He advised me to bring the vehicle to him and he would do a transmission flush for free.

I went up there within the next hour to have this done. He gave me a receipt and a VIP car wash certificate and advised me that my next oil change would be free and they would rotate my tires for me as well.

On 3/19/2012 my transmission went out leaving me stranded with 3 children and no way to work on 3/20/2012. I called Jeff, the manager of Mr. Lube in Laurens and he advised me to call their mechanic Frank.  When I spoke to Frank and told him what had happened, he stated that they should have never flushed my transmission if the fluid was black.  He stated that it was too far gone at that point. He said they just tried to do a quick fix and it made it worse.

I called the owner (Randy) of Mr. Lube and advised him of what happened to my car, he immediately started putting all the blame on me. He said that it wasn't their place to tell me if the fluid was discolored, he said they only check to see if it is full. 

I advised him that Jeff had admitted that it was overlooked on 3/1/2012, I also told him what his mechanic frank said.  He called me a liar, told me he wasn't responsible,  and told me to kiss his a*s and hung up on me.

I paid Mr.Lube for a FULL service oil change instead of BASIC everytime I went for the extra security and preventative maintenance.  I trusted Mr. Lube to make me aware of any issues with my vehicle.  I feel that Mr. Lube was negligent and they refuse to take responsibility.
