Mr sandless albany Don DeLane Created unrepairable damage to a new kitchen floor and are refusing to replace it.Failed to protect follring and used it as a staging area for all there sanding equipment.they have giveb me a temporar Clifton Park , New York

 We hired Mr Sandless Albany to restore our living room, 2bedrooms, hall and stairs . Being assured our presence was not necessary we went to work. They never informed us they would need to remove the stove for access to the 2-40 wiring.                                                                                                                                                                                      

 When I returned home from work I found every piece of equipment and tool strewn about covering the unprotected new Allure plank flooring . The floor was unrepairable y scratched from the equipment and tools and the removing of the stove . Upon further examination we noticed a clear coat substance trail leading from the Living room and hall straight through to the back door (Foot prints). We assumed this to be varnish but were told by Donn the owner its not varnish but would not tell us what it is.( company secrete) . When we asked Donn why they did not protect the new floor they were not working on he calmed it was our responsibility as customers to know they would be working there and we should have taken steps to protect the floor. Really I took a survey of local contractors they all agree it was Donns responsibility to protect our new kitchen flooring.                                                                                                                                            

 I should also add the central air was running full blast with every window and door open. The central air is broken we were told by the heating and cooling company not to run the system until they could repair it . It will create further damage. When we bought this to Donns attention and pointed out they never mentioned the need for air conditioning . Again like the moving of the stove, had they pointed these things out to us. Donn claims we should have posted a note on the thermostat  . So  I should Closed my place of business for the day lost money so I could babysit there irresponsible a**es.     This all  began July 8,2011 and was to be a one day job .

 Don returned July9,2011 to fix the problems we had with the wood floors they were hired to finish. He fixed any and all of those problems and returned again Monday July11,2011 to make an attempt to fix the damage to the kitchen floor . The scratches remain and he camouflaged  The shiny (not varnish  according to Donn)footprints . I feel this is a temporary fix to a permanent problem created by them  . We contacted Allure Flooring company and were told the scratches cannot be repaired  and the shiny footprints would most likely reappear after what ever he used to camouflage them wares off this is a twenty year floor we havent even moved in.                                                                                                                                                                                              I should also mention On July 9,2011 we gave Donn a check for $1,000.00 in good faith expecting they would replace the floor if it could  not be repaired to our satisfaction. It is not to my satisfaction.    Donn flies off the handle at any criticisms of there work . He"ll  spout off about what a great guy he is and how far he goes to make his customers happy. Never once has he apologized to us or taken into consideration how this has affected us .   Its all about Donn. He has gone so far out of his way to place the blame on us .  Its disrespectful for him to come into my home destroy my property and then blame me like this is somehow my fault.  I'm tired of his baby fits his temper I no longer will allow him or any of his employees in to my home we are suing him for floor replacement. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau. I have filed a complaint with the attorney general office and will continue to tell my stories to everyone who will listen and I own a barbershop lots of people to spread the word to.

   Donn never offered to replace the floor until he seen this ripoff report nor did he offer insurance information His Angies list profile shows he does not have insurance and he also is not bonded its on his business profile . I do not want to keep my money its in escrow awaiting floor replacement he has yet to sign the agreement or contact my attorney. He did how ever take the time to harass my self and my husband via text rants until 9:30 in the evening . He only stopped when we reminded him of our attorneys number and name , And that we felt harassed by him.  Which is worse having to go through the  inconvenience of having a brand new floor replaced or being victimized by a bully with anger issues?

We have tried to fix any problems with the floor. I offered to have them repaired or replaced as soon as I saw the problem. She told us no to both options. I have insurance for accidents. She only wants to keep the money she owes me. She is posting everywhere and nowhere does she mention that i have offered to have her floor replaced. She also does not mention how she loved the floors we did for her. Accidents happen and we did all we can to make her happy. We have refinished more than 450 floors and never had a problem where we have damaged any property. We stand behind all our work and do anything to make our clients satisfied. To this day I still offer to have her floor replaced.

5 days later the shiny stains are back already

   To continue my story the shiny camouflage substance has worn away and the shiny (not varnish trail remains) and has uncovered more damage done by Donn while trying to repair the damage . When the camouflage coating wore away after 5 days( like I said temporary fix to permanent damage) We noticed a spot near the stove that has no grain and is much smoother than the rest of the floor we realized Donn had scrubbed the floor with a green pad he said would make the scratches disappear   well it made a big smooth spot like a rice bowl . Donn offered to leave the pad for us and never did . Now we know why he further damaged the floor by using the pad and didn't leave it . I checked Angie's list and he has a bad rating and i filed a report with them.
