Mr. Transmission had a free diagnostic offer. I had my vehichle towed there to get an estimate on how much it would cost to fix my transmission. When they called me back they told me it would cost 3100 dollars. I told them i could not afford that price and that I would like to pick my vehichle up.

I was then told that I would have trouble picking up my vehichle because the transmission was not in it. The assistant manager told me that laughing, very insulting. I told him I never authorized them to take my transmission out. After two weeks of wating my transmission was put back in. To get my transmission put back in i had to call the corporate office.

I thought i was done dealing with them. My vehichle was then picked up by another transmission dealership. They called me and told me i had a transmission in my vehichle that did not belong to my vehichle, it belonged to a vehichle that was the same type but only for 1998 model and below and mine was a 2001.

Not only did Mr. Transmission commit fraud by illegaly taking out my transmission but they then stole the one that was originally in it and replace it with another one.

Response to Complaint

AUTHOR: anonymous - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 30, 2011

Mr. Transmission has since changed ownership and has strived to overcome the negative customer complaints and concerns at this location.

Since I am unaware of the details or validity of the facts stated by this customer I cannot dispute them, but I am aware of our policy and the authorization needed before removal of a transmission and find it hard to comprehend how a franchise would take the risk of legal action by not following proper procedure.

As a new owner of Mr. Transmission we are committed to giving the best customer service possible, and maintaining our customers confidence in our work is very important to us.I would hope that this negative review would not cause a perpetual customer to forego an opportunity for us to serve them.

Get your facts straight

First of all, they have to take out your transmission to see what is wrong with it. You can't see what's wrong with a computer without taking it apart.
Secondly, was your vehicle brand spanking new right off the lot when you bought it? If not, then how do you know THEY swapped out the tranny and it wasn't the previous owner's swap?
I agree they should have been able to give you your vehicle back that day and not wait two weeks. I agree you should not have to have called coporate in the first place, but you did and got your car back. You didn't have to pay anything. Either get your facts straight before you judge others or tell us the whole story.
