my idiot friend talked me into ordering a girls gone wild video because he doesn't have a credit card. the comany (MRA Video) sent the video, but double charged my credit card for it. i tried to get in touch with them via their e-mail addreses on the site (which im pretty sure they dont even check), but they would never resopnd. then i tried calling their number, which costs money, just to get the run-around and no answers. well, on my latest bill there are 2 MORE CHARGES FOR THE SAME VIDEO!!! i coudlnt believe it: 2 months after i got ripped off for their video, they have the balls to charge me 2 more times for it!!! now i dont know what to do now as my credit card company doesnt seem to care. i have contacted the better business bureau, but im very doubtful they will help.

DO NOT ORDER ANY GIRLS GONE WILD VIDEOS!!!

Not exactly, legally, they have a case against you.

From a legal standpoint, it is true that you can continue to be charged. However, doing so would require them filing a lawsuit against you. The last thing an obviously fraudulent company wants is to end up in court. So legally, they have a case against you. But they would never pursue it.

Cancelling your credit card will not work. You can still be charged from any company you previously provided authorization to.

Contact your state attorney general, and much better contact US Secret Service, they investigate Counterfeit Monoey AND Credit Card Fraud.

Rebuttal:

This company that promotes the Girls Gone Wild video is out of control. The cancellation of your credit card will solve the problem, that's true. ..But the company behind this should be stopped. The best way to do that would be to orchestrate a massive complaint to the US POstal inspection service. The tapes come in the US mail, so I believe they would cover it.

All those who have been scammed should go to the web page

http://www.usps.com/postalinspectors/ and file an online postal complaint, it takes only seconds.

Want to add some weight? Take an additional two to three minutes and go to the Federal Trade Commision web site and make a comlaint online at http://www.ftc.gov/

Also, I'm not sure what state the company operates in, but you all should go to that attorney's general web page and file a complaint. The AG's office works on volume, meaning the more complaints about a company--the better the response.

This is an outrage that these folks are getting away with this. All of you as a united front have the power to prevent others from getting scammed. Go for it.

The Fraud Chick

Good Luck!
