I was sold bad wheels by a company called mod bargains who sells MRR wheels. Mod Bargains issued a refund because they did not want to deal with the matter and told me to contact MRR in order to get my wheels warrantied. Mike/Accountant from Mod told me that MRR wheels did not refund their portion of the money to them so they took a total loss and my wheels should be able to be warrantied.

I received a frantic email from Carlos at MRR who immediately told me they would resolve the issue. I told them of the issue with Mod and that they were looking to issue a refund etc... CARLOS responded

"MRR WHEELS INFO@mrrwheels.com Jan 27to me Damon, good afternoon. My name is Carlos Morales and im the Manager for MRR design wheels.i search my system for your email and  i think i located the proper person, Damon one of the sales reps from Modbargains just forward us a email you wrote to them regarding our wheels HR06 22x10 that you purchased sometime late last year, im very concern over the problem you might be going through, any product that douse not meet regular driving standard conditions must be immidiately brought to our attention, we strive to produce a flawless product yet tested and certified JWL and VIA our product is even TUV approved for customer in Germany, we offer a full life time structure waranty so any isues is immidiately covered under our warranty. i tried calling your cell provided above but had no luck"

So I then responded:

Carlos no offense, but if you read my entire email to the young lady at ModBargains you would realize that it's way beyond that point. I do not have the luxury of taking wheels off, sending them back, waiting for other wheels to be powder coated, etc... The wheel(s) in question 1 of them has been repaired. The other crack found because yesterday my other tire was low. This one I do not have a photo of... but it needs to be repaired. You all put me into an awful position as far as safety and that is the bottom line. I have purchased MANY of wheels for my Audi, much lower profile then this truck. Ironically in my Audi 2 years ago when I purchased my rs4 wheels, i hit a turtle in Georgia and the wheel/tire nothing wrong. With your wheels I hit nothing at all, not even as much as a speed bump, and I have three cracks in opposite parts of the wheel in the same side of the wheel, and a crack on the opposite of the truck on another wheel? Come on....

As far as I am concerned there is only one resolution. Money back and wheels that work on my truck that weren't damaged/fatigued or maybe should not be on this truck all together. We won't even get into the horrible powder coating job, runs in the paint (powder coat) and globs of coat so think in the middle of the wheel you could not even put a center cap in w/out breaking the caps. Your fit and finish was horrible, the wheel design is weak or maybe this was fatigued during your heating process, I don't know. What i do know is that it's unsafe. VERY UNSAFE. What I also know is that not only you, your company, and MB ALL dropped the ball several times in what should have been a very simple, and cut/dry experience.

____________

I flat out told him what i was looking for and he agreed to resolve, his email below: Jan 27th, 2012

Damon i completely understand, we would never expect a client to accept something they simply do not want. your absolutely correct MB did send us a email regarding the delay on the wheel replacement and unfortunately i dont think they even understand that it takes 1-2 weeks just to have a wheel powdercoated.the it takes 5 business days by UPS to deliver from Los angeles to Florida, trust me is a nightmare even for us.

regardless warranty is always on hand and we stand by it. on the money back, thats something you do have to take through MB, we are not responssible for any of our dealers transactions and only they can do something for you. we as the manufacture can replace the wheels under our warranty, you have my contact information, our wheels will arrive next month just incase and just to help you out im willing to ship the replacement wheels first as long as we can pick up the bad wheels after your replacement. regardless let us know

I ASKED CARLOS FOR AN IOU AND THIS WAS HIS RESPONSE:

MRR WHEELS INFO@mrrwheels.com Jan 31 (11 days ago)

how are you good morning, as far as a IOU theirs really no need as your wheels are a warranty replacement, so you can consider this email a warranty replacement approval. By the way i might have some good news for you, the matte black we bring will not be a pain to maintain since is clear coated, many third party powder coaters here do not add clear coat and thats why some suggest windex for cleaning (sucks but true)
_____________________________

He then sends me this lying and backing out:

Morales, Carlos carlos@mrrwheels.com 3:39 PM (23 hours ago)to me how are you Damon, well these emails will be no good to you or me because we say one thing and its another lol, it looks like mod bargains refunded you for your purchase which we had to refund them for the wheels which now means that a UPS truck is ready and on call to pick up the wheels from you. we need to know when your wheels will be off the car ready for us to pick up.

MRR Wheels Inc

He already KNEW about the the refund but he now backs out. Hes has lied since day 1, and they are  completely fraudulent! They need to back what they say which clearly they are not. Last evening I almost wrecked due to the leaking air in the rear of the car... Clearly does not care about peoples safety and has lied over and over and over. Not to mention the wheels are unsafe and this is not the only case of this if you look online. Maybe it was just a bad batch, but they need to honor their product.

MRR WHEELS fantastic

AUTHOR: BIMMERJOSH - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, September 07, 2012

HI, My name is Josh  (please read this whole message)
I recently(last week) had a set of rims of MRR on my bmw 740. one of the rims when i hit a pot hole split down the center completely in half. i pulled over towed home and wrote them a letter, a very kind one . I told them how much I really loved there wheels and just wanted to resolve the issue. well I sent itat 3 am My time (5 am there time)(i live in hawaii) by 6am my time(9am there time) I had recieved a response, very kind and respectful and immediatly agreed to resolve the process. they said all you have to do is give me your address and we send a ups truck to pick up your rim(btw my box looked like a 5 year old tried to pack it) and they will ship out a new one as soon as the ups scans and recieves it.
i did have to call them and keep on them but they were working on it the whole time. it doesnt get easier then that people. i left the box out this past weekend friday i put the claim in 08/31/12
also labor day weekend the box was picked up tuesday 9/4/12 the new rim was at my door the next day 6 days from start to finish and im in hawaii everything goes in by frieght! they actually sent the rim out on th 31st when the said the wouldnt send it till the old one was recieved. thats absolutly fantastic!!! I have delt with all kinds of products and shipping in hawaii.IT SUCKS!!! most people wont even ship here. thats the easiest warranty transaction I have ever delt with. I am so happy with there service I am preaching about there rims to every one I know even tire shops. i work with cars as it is so i know all the car people, I am so enthralled that I would even consider being a rep for them. considering I am the best salesmen I know of in hawaii, I feel I could double there sales here single handedly. I think this guys complaint is ludicrous. I mean nothing he is saying even makes sense hes sloppy and all over the place. and most importanly he is getting a refund and free rims and he wont shut up....that is straight up robbery. I mean I had two 400 dollar tires destroyed because of there rim failure and im not pushing for that much. i didn't even get money for the tires. I looked on a list of rim manufactures warranties and let me tell you NO ONE EVEN COMES CLOSE TO THE STRUCTURAL COVERAGE AT MRR. all the rim companies have tons of rules including proof of purchase , and you must be the original owner. MRR is a bit picky about the finish, but structure straight up says lifetime. no questions asked
please stop complaining and sounding like an @SS and be patient things happen and were lucky we live in a country where people stand behind there products and even offer warranties. things happen. if you were just Patient and polite but yet persistent(because you do realize they are a HUGE manufacturer and 1 of thousands of people to take car of)  I promise you, you WILL receive EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE...
maybe I just understand because I run a business. LASTLY, I would like to note that you are rolling on 22's they are very heavy and very brittle I dont care how there made forged,cast,1 piece,3 piece... it doesnt matter how cheap they are...they all break, i Know i researched extensively. factory BMW, MERCEDES rims, even forged rims that cost 3X what MRR charges all BRAKE every single day. you have to realize that rims that big are design mostly because the demand for cosmetically pleasing dramatic rims are growing and growing. even with the best standards with how thin the tires have to be to fit them on your car its bunjy jumping and sky diving is safe. you can make it as safe as possible but because of the nature of it the are dangerous no matter what. be mindful having the best rims in town comes with a price. if you want rims that wont crack by 15s with a HUGE tire to cushion it. also you must take into account the tire profile, brand, and proper tire pressure account for a huge part of protecting the rim. if I had to guess,I would say 70 percent of rim damage is do to people running there tire pressure to low.
thats all folks thanks,ALOHA FROM HAWAII
JOSH
