MSI Merchant Service & Michael Barona Promised Flat Fee and Free Credit Card Machine Smithown, New York

Mr.Barona came into my store week prior to the signing of the lease as a
representative for a certain merchant service. He was a young gentlemen and
pitched me a excellent deal on the merchant account rates. He told me that I could
have $50.00 FLAT RATE on my rate. I thought this was an amazing deal because
who wouldnt want to have a flat credit card rate. He told me in his own words,
This something new we are trying. The low rate will attract many clients, which in
the end, pays off as to having just few clients with regular rates.
Despite the flat rate, he assure me that the rates he currently has with this
merchant company, which he did not fully disclose nor that he was an independent
contractor, till I ask few times, to be significantly lower. To top it off, he offer me
free credit card machine and told me that you can have this machine for free as long
as you keep the merchant account with them. In addition, because I am new client,
my next bill can either $50.00 or $40+ if you accept and use this credit card machine
instead of the one I currently have.
At the day of the contract signing, I asked him what am I signing and what
does the title non-cancellable means, he told me that its just a procedure for the
office and I am not reliable for the fees that may come up. To finalize the deal, we
called the machine financing company and while I am on the speaker phone (he
insisted) with the leasing reprehensive to go over the details, he told on the side to
disregard everything they say and just say yes to avoid fees.
Surely, the bill arrives and merchant bills come up to $190.00 with 3 year
contract and additional $40.50 for the credit card machine lease with 48 months.

Watch out for Michael Barona (70 cygnet dr. Smithtown ny) or any MSI merchant Representative. They are bad news.
